Hey guys,
today came my Asus P4C800-E Deluxe, which I bought on ebay, i wanted to throw in a 2,4 E0. But first of all I could start the PC w/o probs, but no picture. So I tried to measure all the voltages with a multimeter, everything was fine until i tried to mess Vcore, the comp suddenly went out. Now the comp boot and shut down after 2 sec. So my question is, do you think I killed this board and does anybody know, if maybe bios version 1014, which is written on the bioschip is actual enough to support the cpu, maybe just the bios is wrong. :stick:

My specs:

Intel P4 2,4 E0 SL88F
Asus P4C800-E Deluxe Rev.2.0 Bios1014
OCZ Powerstream 520W
2x256MB Twinmos PC3200 BH5
MSI GF4 Ti 4400

I dont know if its the same issue, but i had the regular p4c800 it would post but no visual display. it ended up being a mosfet that blew. This could be the same thing that happened to you but more damaging to you then me, it might have freid a important peice, but thats as much insight as i can say. sry i wasnt much help.

D'oh.

There goes someone's reseller rating on Ebay...

Hope you can get your $$$ back!!

This doubles in brass the main reason why I will NEVER buy ANY electronics or PC components on Ebay!!

EVER!!!!

You could just try to RMA it, but they are going to ask for a receipt...and you don't happen to have one since you got it used....

just like he said don't ever buy expesive computer parts used on ebay. only buy used from someone you know or on the forums.

Verify if you plugged in the p4 12v power in the motherboard. Alot of people forget that.
