is it posible to have 20cm of cap tube after the txv so the refrigerant doesnt start evaporating right after the txv? obviously the txv will have to be compensated due to the cap tube, but is it posible?

You do not do this unless you want to make a distributor. In this case, you use multiple capillary tubes after a TXV to dustribute the refrigeratnt to several evaporators. In the case of one evaporator, you use one or the other. A capillary tube won't help you after a TXV. A TXV will do way better than a cap tube anyways.

I think he's asking this so he can mount the txv away from the evaporator head so he doesn't need to mount the txv on the evap. As this would make it very awkward for mounting the evap on the cpu.

Your always going to see a little flash gas at the outlet of a metering device. Proper use of a P/H chart will tell you the % of gas/liquid.

Yeah, you'd be surprised, in a R507 system it can be as much as 40% of the mass

Well okay, you can use a cap tube for this application. Didn't think about the Direct Die application. Use a #2 and don't make it any longer than 30 inches.
