View Full Version : Any chance of reviving the old XS design

Hej.

We all see that XS is changing, or perhaps getting a face-lift would be a better term. I understand that change is an inevitable cycle in life, and thus it comes as no surprise that XtremeSystems.org is changing some visual aspects on its website.

I suspect that nothing can be done about this, and to hold myself from simply criticising, I would like to ask whether it would not be possible to have XS available in two skins. The new one, and the old one. I personally like the old design much more, it has a homely feeling to it, whilst the new design seems as though from a Galaxy Far Far Away.

In theory this should be no difficulty, the code hasnt changed as far as I know, only some visual aspects have been changed, actually bearing the same URL as the old visuals.

Would this be a possibility? The new graphic design is not something that will make me abandon XS; it merely makes the website more confusing in a Star Trek way in my opinion. Perhaps I'm conservative, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who prefers the old burnt in design ;)

Regards,

Dave

ive seen other threads use user choosable skins, i dont see why this one couldnt, it would have to be brought up with an admin and probably fugger.

Thank you very much. By this thread do I by no means intend to disregard the hard work the crew is putting into this website, I am happy that XS will enlarge review wise, but the new design doesnt quite suite my taste :)

Once again thank you, and best of luck to XS!

Dave

That's cool that we willl have achoice. At first the new skin bothered me too. But regardless, this is still the best forum and knowledgebase for computer overclocking on the planet, so it's all good.

AFAIK, there will be a few themes, and this current version is not "final" it was more a "test"...
