I've got a 3.73EE in my Abit AA8XE and i only use the Windows based Flash Menu when i want to update the BIOS, i used it for BIOS 18 which i have now and i want to update to BIOS 22.
I don'y currently have a floppy drive as i just don't use them, any way when i try to flash i get the following error
"This file is not support BIOS lock function" i have looked around in the BIOS for something relevant that might be stopping it from flashing, the only thing i found is an option called 'NX BIOS' which i disable, or enable, no change i still can't flash.
Abit BIOS 20 says fixes are:.
1. Add EIST support.
2. Enhance four 1GB memory support.
3. FlashMenu now works when using EM64T CPU.
4. Enhance DRAM compatibility.
5. BIOS compiled date: 02/01/2005
Because of line 3 i tried to flash using BIOS 20, that too locks. I have found nothing relevant in the Abit forums so far.
Clues??
:)
