Ok got my brazing rods to work and I have most of my stuff brazed. Just need to get some T fittings so I can put my valves on... Dryer comes out of bottom of condencer and should be angled down correct? And discharge line goes into top of condencer?

My compressor (1/3 HP copeland medium temp unit) has a cap screwed over a threaded hole on the side of the suction line part. Could I put a valve here and skip a T fitting on the suction line? Or would it be easier to just braze the Tfitting in and avoid flaring and stuff? And for the valves, how do I take the rubber things out so they dont melt while brazing?

The compressor has some sort of start unit strapped to the side with 2 wires comming out... Do I just put a plug on here? And where do I get a start cap for my rotary compressor?

those are just positive and negative. Can't tell which is which from the pic. If they are colors the black one is negative and the other is positive. If not, just try it out, if you get it wrong, it shouldn't hurt anything.

Exactly what it looks like.. BUt Make sure that you use a 3 prong plug and attach the ground wire (usually green) to the compressor somewhere...

Theres a cutoff ground on the foot to the left of the electricn stuff. Ground to there? I'll take the stuff off today to see which is whichn.

Ok here we are! Tell me whats going on because I cant figure it out :p:

I attached my work so far as well.... Almost done just need some T fittings. Brazing the discharge pipe on the compressor sucked. I didnt realize it till I was done but I burnt all the paint off. I could tell by the smell. That cant be very good for my lungs... or my brain :stick: I need to start doing this stuff outside once it stops raining...

Yes ground to one of the feet. A small metal screw should do the trick.

Is the way you ran the wiring? At least this is the way I read the inside cover.

what he said. The pic I attached earlier will help you trace the neutral and hot wire for hooking up the plug.

Maybe I'm blind but it looks like you labled both neutral?

It looks to me that the 2 blackwires on the left side came from the wall plug. So 1 is neutral and the positive. Are these 2 wires coming from the 2 wires you were holding in the first pic?

The pic below shows the way I would read the wiring diagram, and please correct me if I am wrong.

EDIT: It is the wires comming in from the right side that are positive neutral. Thanks for the info afire.

It looks like both the wires going into the tube wrap stuff and out are both neutral...

ok after re examining the pics I finally saw the wrapping from the power cord, on the right. DUH is me, lol. I'll update my pics so no one else is confused.
