Can any one help me volt mod my Ati 9800 se AIW
Its water cooled (maze 4 with 1/2 fittings) and the mem cooled by cut to size p4 heatsink so it should handle the extra volts.
At the min it does 430 core and 400 mem,
hoping a volt mod would give me another 20 on the core and maybe 10 on the mem (tighter timings)
All help and advice welcome
thanks Acid
Shouldn't it just be the same as a 9800 Pro? I've looked at the various 9800 designs before, and AFAIK depending on the design it will either be exactly like modding a 9500 Pro, 9700, or 9800 (Pro). Can you post a pic of the back of the card?

p.s forgot to say my card is a hercules with the 256 bit mem controler and the mem is in a L shape

Iggy they look nothing like the back of my card but thanks for trying tho.
Any other ideas
Umm, that's for a standard L-shaped 9800 Pro. Maybe you've got one of the weird ones that used the 9700 style PCB. Does your card have a heatspreader on the back? Or better yet, link or post a pic.

Yeah bro post a pic of the card, even if it is a 9700PCB its still gonna use 6522CBs and the SC1175CSW chip, only thing i can think of is since its a hercules card, it might use an 8 leg vreg like the 9600s did.

WOAH, just realized he said AIW, I've vmodded AIW 9800 Pros and they're identical to the SEs:

If you are referring to the SC1175CSW, as long as the chip says SC1175CSW its the same, the rest is just batch code etc...

O.k Thanks Cat
What is a safe voltage for a water cooled GPU (maze 4 with 1/2 fittings)

i would say stay under 1.8V if you want the card to last
