View Full Version : Need spec for a tecumseh compressor!

The unit seems to be a Tecumseh:
heres whats i can find on it.
AE455AR-739-A2
AE1390V
d7743223

I think it was originally filled with R22 or R12 and was pulled out of a Maytag Fridge.

The original sticker was removed but it is in great shape overall.
I need the specs of this baby, can't find them on their web site... and i know some of you are HVAC specialists with plenty of books on them... if anyone could hook me up with the specs of it.

what do you mean looks like it? was that number on compresor or not.please explain.
that# is 5500 btu 1/2 hp that is from memory I didn't look it up so don't take that as gospel . walt.

Sorry bud I could not find anything on this compressor. I don't think the nomenclature will help in this case. You need the model # AEAxxxxXYZ-xxx for it to work. They have probably stopped production on this compressor some years ago.

I'll tell ya what to do. Shoot an email to tecumseh and ask for a spec sheet. I did this with a danfoss compressor I was looking to buy, but couldn't find any specs on it. I had the specs in a pdf. file the next day.
