Maxtor Question

Hi,
Which one do you think its the best and fastest?

Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 200Gb 8MB Cache OEM

or the

Maxtor DiamondMAX 10 250Gb OEM SATA 16MB Buffer NCQ ?????

Can i have your views and opinions please?

Well, it depends on your MOBO to a degree...most Motherboards use an ATA100 IDE controller.

Since the SATA is usually 150MHz or so, that is going to speed things up. And the doubled buffer size never hurts, either.

If both were SATA drives, though, then I'd say the transfer speeds will be very close and I'd just go with the larger of the two....
