View Full Version : My new RIG! Running!!!

ALL,
Finally I fired up my new Intel rig...
5 minutes after I loaded drivers and monitor proggy,
3dMark2001 14,365 hehehehe
Not bad for STOCK, Default, undervolted (1.46v) P4 OEM Speed
A few questions and notes:
The Delta Hi-RPM 80mm on my Swifty isn't THAT loud
 case temp 28-30C cpu temp 25-29C
I've heard of different ways people hook up their R9700, I hooked my cable to the HDD and the PSU, correct? So, the R9700 shares power with the HDD.
Voltage fluctuations...12v 11.86 no load 11.80 Prime95
5v 5.03 loaded or not
Vcore default (1.525v) in reality is 1.46v
So I bumped it up to 1.575v or in reality 1.52v
BTW, after I upped the vcore, my 3dmark fell 115points, coincidence?
Should I open up the TTGI and tweak the pot? On the 12v rail, I have 5 case fans (80-92mm) the Delta fan and the Radeon.
Any suggestions guys?
Tonight when I relax a bit I'll dive in and open a can of whoop@ss!!
thanks

Hi Charlie,

Pump that baby up....my 2.66 sits at 3.2g on air cooling, yours should do a little better on that 845 PE chipset board.

I'll be joining in when I hook up my new prommy.
How high will that puppy go....let us know.

I don't have any pic's for you guys yet because the rig won't recognize the modem??? I'm working at it!
OK, So far
20 X 155 = 3100 Prime 95ok for about 1 hr. until I turned it off and did other stuff. Only 29C hmmm.....
mem 155 X 2.66 = 413mhz
vcore 1.54
vdimm 2.6
spread spectrum disabled
cas 2-2-5-2

It runs benchies and Prime but freezes in 3dm2k1.
Once it gave a message about Radeon 9700 error during write.
?? Will have to read up on vid card tweaks and the ATI menu.
It needs the current bios but I don't have a FDD in this rig, so I'm gonna' have to errr...rig one up temporary like...
In a nutshell, what are 3dm2k1 freezes????
BTW, I haven't even gotten a fail to POST yet. Who knows how high I can get a cpuid screenie??? This setup runs cool!!!

Anyone know how to use Printscreen key?? I was using a different capture program and I remember one of you telling me to use simply Printscreen and it doesn't appear to do anything, yes its winxp???
Then I'll put up a few modest screenies!

Hit PrintScreen. Open paint. Paste. You should now see whatever you took a screenshot of.

print screen just copies an image of your screen to the clipboard. So, after you hit it, go to an image editor and then paste. That should put the image in :)

Ok
here's 20 X 164
164 x 4 = 656fsb
mem cas2, 3,6,3 436mhz 2.66 ratio
Prime 95 not stable, maybe needs volts?
vcore 1.54v
vdimm 2.6v
agp locked 66/33
freezes up on 3dmk2001, need to research r9700 tuning
But it's got lot's of headroom and runs cool! We'll see what the future brings...

A bit slower and easier settings,
20 X 150, cas2, 3,6,3
vcore 1.56v
vdimm 2.6v
mem 2.5 ratio X 150 = 375mhz
R9700, untouched, untweaked
