Hey yall I'm in need a of a lil help with my Ti4600...Of course I know how to vmod, but the problem is, I need to vmod tomorrow and don't have any VR's handy. I do however have some straight resistors on hand. I have some 2.2k Ohm and some 1k Ohm resistors. Anyways, here's a link to the vmod, maybe some of you will know the stock voltage on the Ti4600. What is need to know: What combination of fixed resistors would I need to use in order to get a stable vmod..

Calls for a 5k VR so I'm guessing that I should be able to vmod with straight resistors.

Currently Ti4600 is topping out @ 345/775 or so. Here's a compare URL: (3DM01, 18,718)::

If anyone can give me some help with this, it'd be much appreciated. :toast:

How much voltage do you need? iirc the stock voltage for the GF4 Ti series is 1.65v (I think its 1.65 on the Ti4200 so should be the same on the 4600), so using a 2k2 resistor should give you about 1.8v

yeah, that's what I was thinking also. I came up with like 1.85v for a 2.2k fixed resistor. I've got some handy, so I'll see about vmodding this thing today =)

Thanks for your help man

mod worked great...pulled out the solderin' iron and soldered on a 2.2k resistor..took about 5 minutes, im gettin about 25MHz higher core now =)

nice. You need better cooling to get farther I think since you still have stock. Good luck! :banana:

Thats some damn fine clocks there :D You got a new compare URL?

Here's a compare URL running at mild speeds for everything:

Ti4600 was @ 355/770. CPU was at 2772MHz. I can do around 375/775 currently. I need to vmem mod. vmem mod calls for 2k VR, I'm wondering what I'll need to get around 3.1v on this mem...I may try a 1k fixed resistor. Also, to get GPU to these speeds I'm basically laying the system on the air vent with AC on. CPU can bench fine on regular air up to around 2.9, but Ti4600 doesnt do too well.

I'm currently ranked #10 for Ti4600, after my benching session in about 5 hours I should be in the top 5 with around 19.7K or so.

Here's my compare URL: (19,212)

Thanks for those fine pics m8. I am really impressed with this Ti4600 I had traded a Zalman 7700CU for because it wouldn't fit on my board. No mods and on stock cooling I can oc to 330/710. I probably could get a little more, but not without better cooling. And I was thinking about volt modding. But I have never soldered before and I don't know anyone that does, or I would do this right away. Can anyone recommend a cooler?

Stick DX8 and win2k on and you should come close if not manage to break 20k :D
