Can you still get the 30 cap northys? any certain steppings or batch numbers to look for?

30 cap northwoods are failed EEs iirc, and overclock better than average

If I remember correctly, the 30 cap northwoods must also be M0 revision to be a failed EE.

For example, my 3.4C is a 30 capper, but it is a D1 revision and is therefore not a failed EE processor

Yeah there are a million of them on ebay.
Don't know about batch numbers, but I assume that any that have a lot date (in the batch#) of 10/2003 or newer will always be 30 caps.
(not the PACK DATE, the actual lot date).

I forgot how to read those.....

Hey I sent Newegg the money for my 3.0C OEM and got in return a SL6WK 30 cap processor. It is not a "MO" revision it is a "D1" But it is a 30 capper none the less and it is a fantastic processor!! I run it daily @ 4037mhz. If you had x-ray eyes you could look at my avatar and see right through that swiftech water block and watch it work! But, oh well.
