Just started playing with the board, got everything ready to go, but before I put everything in the case and start installing os/drivers/oc'ing etc. I was wondering about the bios cpu temps.

I have my fx53 on a mach 1, stock, everything is stock speeds etc. In bios it reads out at around 5C, on the mach 1 it is reading -35C. I know the bios will be off, but is this normal? Contact appears to be good, but if this isn't normal bios temp readings I'll shave some more off of the mobo standoff before putting everything in the case.

Main problem frankly is that , from personal experience neither the bios or the ITE utility seems to provide remotly accurate reading of heat or voltages. So basically I use it as a reference point but nothing more.

Yea after reading up some more, some times it is close, some time it is way off. So I think I'm going to shave slightly more off the motherboard stand offs on the mounting kit, to ensure good contact.

I'll see if temps in bios improve, but eh I'll just see how far I can take her ;).
