Just a note , that this particular ram is best used with the DFI NF 4 board ( 2nd choice would be the MSI )

Thank ryan for your advice. Do you confirm they all are Samsung TCCD on Brainpower PCB 808?

Also another note:
Most of these should be able to run 1T on the DFI (although it's not guaranteed as it's difficult to say that your cpu and/or motherboard can definitely run 1T at 300+).
-Eric
P.S. All OCZ high end memory comes on the 808 PCB, as they have for years now. We were the first company to actually use this pcb, with other companies following suit recently when they discovered what we had known for a long time.

I have a question to OCZ reps here... (Ryan, Bigtoe, Andy...)
Have anyone from you (since you had most likely had already access to those sticks) had tested this PC4800 on DFI NF4 for highest possible, stable clocks @ 7-3-3-2.5-1T or 7-3-4-2.5-1T ?
By stable, I mean as stable as OCZ PC4800 is supposed to be @ DDR600... So, full stabilty ;)

Were were running some of these on the DFI ( which a lot of tweaking to get right ) at Cebit at 667 3-4-4 1T ( 512x2) , Just a random pair ,They wouldnt quite do 700 stable so we backed it off :-)
I know the board and CPU were selected because they were the best overclockers we had , We ran that rig at 750 ,memtest stable with 256x2
I would say 2.5-3-3 @ 600 would be nice , but not all will do it I know for a fact.
best results I have seen in the 600-650 range were 3-4-3-10

just ordered a pair...figured i might as well grab a hold of the highest binned TCCD available before it disappears on us...we'll find out how it does in my rig next week :)

I was always wondering...
About when you say "memtest-stable" @ DDR667 3-4-4- 1T (512x2)...
Is that stable enough to give this particular kit an "unofficial" speed-bin rating of PC5300 ? Or it's "memtest-stable" only for benchmarking needs of overclocker's community ?
So Ryan, do you think that DDR650 is doable with 2x512 kit @ 7-3-4-2.5-1T ? I mean, not doable in terms of benchmarking only...
I just noticed that PC4800 has 2x256 kit.... nice...
Thanks,
BA

when I say memetest stable , I mean completely stable , if there is any doubt to the stablity I try to note that :-D
As far as 650 I would say its a fair bet be able to get 630-650 at 3-4-4 with a choice CPU and a good DFI Nforce 4, a different board or CPU thats not quite up to par might effect that heavily. I have seen a 30 Mhz dif with same CPU / memory and diferent DFI NF4 boards , I am sure everone here has seen that CPUs make a huge dif also
I would stick with 3-4-3 or 3-4-4 at these speeds , I havent had much luck in this range at CL2.5 usualy 3-4-3 or 3-4-4 yield the best results

LOL Ryan - i am still burning in my VX - its a super burn-in session...Thursday Afternoon until Monday Afternoon nonstop memtest. I'm away for the weekend so thats why i can do it...hope to get some nice results out of that stuff...so, we'll see where this pc4800 gets us...i have faith in OCZ - i've bought many items from them and i've never had a problem - so i'm sure you've heard it before, but you run a great company Ryan - i'll always be a customer. Anyways, as far as the video card, lol, I like my 6200! Its nothin great, but its not necessarily the destination i look for in overclocking, rather the journey to get there :)

Only one left as of this post! Man... you OCZ guys sure know how to make people feel self-conscious about their ram... :worship:
I've got PC3700 TCCD and I want to trade up for 4800!
That VX 4000 looks nice though...

@ ryanpgroovy Any recommended mem settings for these sticks(not the 2.5-3-3-6, the other 20 :p: )...?
I was convinced about 6 posts ago and ordered them... NewEgg is still showing them as "in stock"...
I've got the A-Data DDR600 doing 200 1T 2.5-3-3-6 @ 300, 3X on the Ultra-D with just basic tweaking....
Will be interesting to see what the OCZ DDR 600 will do just plugged into that system....:D

Great, I may end up purchasing some of this stuff for my DFI NF3...Board does 380MHz FSB no problem 24/7, CPU can handle it just fine too. This may be what I've been waiting for...

at 380 You might have to run 2T :
I did manage to run 300 2.5-3-3 1T with a random pair while playing yesterday , But in memtest I would get a few errors
As with any of our products , if your already running really high speeds , you might want to forgoe upgrading , it may not be cost effective

I'd much rather have 512mb of this than 1024gb of mine. 240mhz at 2.5-4-4-7, or 270mhz @ 2.5-3-3-7....hmm
Anyone who has this, can you try to run 2-x-x-x (dont care about the rest) on any kind of voltage? preferrably 2-3-3-7 or maybe even 2-2-2-x?

Soltek is garbage and I guarantee you won't get above 300 (or even at 300), but good luck.

@ ryanpgroovy Could you list a set of DFI nF4 memory settings that will work for this PC4800....?
I have them in an Ultra-D with a FX-55, Tagan 480Watt and I can boot at 9X295 at 3X, 200 1T 2.5-4-4-10, Vdimm=3.0V, Vcore=1.65V, LDT=1.4V, Chipset=1.8v...
But that's it for any stability at all... At 9X300, Windows crashes almost right away...
I've tried settings that were given in a few topics in this forum, and at the DFI forum. I get the same thing or a little worse...
Right now I have(in order):
200
enable
2.5
4
10
4
8
14
3
2
2
2
4708
1
enabled
auto
0
auto
level 3
7
5
16

7x
disable
Thanks!...:)

Someone said earlier in the thread that these were tccd, but ryan says that some of the IC's may likley be marked TCC5. He says that TCC5 should pretty much either equal or be the same as TCCD, so I guess we can consider these tccd also. In any case they seem hard to resist.

Since I posted, I've has some success...I can now boot at 9X300 at 3X, 200 1T 2.5-4-3-10, Vdimm=3.0V, Vcore=1.65V, LDT=1.4V, Chipset=1.8v... The system is now at least SuperPI stable...
Right now I have(in order):
200
enable
2.5
4
10
3

Which bios are you on Rebelshaven?
I would set Drive Strength to 5 and DATA strength to 2, might add a couple more FSB :)

The 3/26/05 BIOS, but the drive strength only goes up to 3!....
Edit: Using Clk-Gen, it SuperPI stable to 315.... I haven't tried booting at 315... System is water cooled staying under 40C...

The DRAM Drive Strength? or the DATA Drive Strength.
DRAM Drive Strength should be 5
DATA drive Strength should be 2

OK, finally got to Memtest testing.....
With the above settings, Test #5 fails right at 98%, with about a dozen errors......
Tried more drive strength: same
Tried less Vdimm: made it worse;
Tried more Vdimm: 3.2V same as 3.0V
Then went back to above settings, except now 200 1T 2.5-4-10-4 and it's been Memtest looping for several hours.....
Any suggestions on how to get to 2.5-3-10-3........?

i can do 2.5-4-3-7 (or dfi format 2.5-4-7-3)
of cuz 600 1T
