Coming soon:
~ PC-DL with 2 1.6 LV Xeons, being modded and tuned right now by RZ.
~ VDimm Modded Epox 9NDA3+ on its' way from a forum member. I wanted to wait for Venice, but will probably get a Newcastle to tide me over and EBay the Newcastle once the Venices are available.
Coming not quite as soon,
~ Just purchased two 2.4 LV 533FSB D1s ( NIB ), will be ordering mobo and PSU tomorrow or this weekend.
Got to power up!

Well, then, guess I'll have to add my 4 or 5 XP-Ms crunching a different project. :) ( Well, at least one or two of them, at any rate ) Been meaning to anyway, just been busy.
Actually, WF, I have to check my machines, my output has been down the last week or so, it seems. Not sure. I may have a machine or two froze up. I've been watching your production go up, up, up. Its' nice!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
DD, those things went higher than I wanted them to, but not as high as some resellers wanted ( and that for non-LV chips! ). Thanks for bowing out.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now if I can ever get that Mach II/DFI/XP-M system going. I need local help. Perhaps I can ask for some help from some of the phasechange experts around here.

Damn! Found another one where the machine was just plain off ( and I didn't turn it off )!!
That machine does that from time to time, fairly regularly. Have never been able to figure out why. It is overclocked, but not extremely so...

Happens to my main rig too, even when not overclocked. Luckily it restarts alone and since D2OL runs as a service ;)
I also turned off 2 rigs the past week, which were responsible for 200-300/day, but that's because i'll be upgrading them in the next days.
If all goes well, i'll reach the 2k daily production by first week of April.

I'm still waiting, anxiously, for my 2.4s. Overseas and all. Hopefully, all goes well.

Man... it cost so much to ship anything from overseas... that and with the exchange rate the way it is... You can end up paying double for things... I don't even want to know what them 2.4 chips are going to cost! :shock2:

And then you get some people that use UPS instead of USPS and it cost us Canadians $70 in :censored: brokerage fees! That was on a couple pairs of other 1.6LV Xeon's I bought from Ebay. I guess overall it was still an ok deal.
I just hope using the USPS wasn't a mistake... :(

Would it be not a good idea,when people from te US buy something via Ebay in Europe,to tell somebody from the team who is living in Europa then he can take them,same thing for people in europa who buy in US via ebay,you understand what i want to say.
Then people have NOT to pay the shippingcosts,althoug for guys here in europe it is cheap to buy in the US:).
Did you know that some people here in europa sell a pair of 2.4ghz xeon's for 350€=454$,now thats alot :nuts: .

Heh, got a "pick up a parcel at the PO" notice in my mail box. Hopefully, it is the 2.4's. I also got the modded Epox NF3 board left in the rocks near my front door, by Fedex. :( The box doesn't look real good, hopefully the board is ok. So... where are the Venices? :)

Well, picked up the parcel. It is the LV D1 2.4's.
QYP5 ES
quoted from JohannM at 2cpu.com:
In my experience, with 2.4lv's and trust me I have had about 25 pairs of them during the last month or two this is what I have found:
They are al ES QYP5 chips
1 in ten pairs do 3Ghz-3.2Ghz
4 in ten pairs do 3.2Ghz or more
4 in ten Pairs do 3.4Ghz or more
1 in ten Pairs do 3.6Ghz or more
The best pair sofar is of course my own that does 229x16 for 3.664Ghz primestable. They do fly my babies
Results were roughly the same with SL74T's. Point is the average pair does 3.2 - 3.5
2Ghz LV chips are crap because they cant run 200FSB form bios as someone else mentioned aswell.
1.6LV's rarely do more than 3.2Ghz, some people claim 3.4Ghz although I want to see them run Primestable @3.4Ghz before I will believe it.
m0's do 3.5-3.6 aswell.
The thing is with 2.4LV's which make them superior to 1.6LV's except for the average 400Mhz speed increase is the fact that 90% of them can do 3Ghz 200FSB using VID 1.45 (1.41 actual) or VID 1.5 (1.46 actual) where 1.6LV's need at least 1.55 VID or 1.6VID to do 3Ghz or more. THis might not sound like a big difference but it makes a huge difference on the VRM temp and running 1.45VID the chips run extremely cool in comparrison to anything running 1.6VID
I had a pair of 2.4LV's that did 3Ghz @200FSB at stock voltage (1.27v) THe temps on those were awesome, the 4U passive heatpipe coolers I had on them barely got hot to the touch.
So, hopefully, I can get 3.4 out of them. That'd be nice. :)

Ahhh yes... But Prime doesn’t stress a rig like D2OL :cool: EVERY rig I have OCed to the Max Prime stable for 16hrs+ crashes the second D2OL fires up full boar! I have to back off about 50MHz from Prime stable... sometimes a lot more.
Your chips that I just put in that PC-DL were Prime stable @ 3.25GHz... but fire up D2OL @ that speed and you are hard re-booting my friend ;)

OK, the first PC-DL is coming together. I have one of the Swiftech's on ( had to wait for a mis-sized mounting piece to arrive, first :( ); its' getting late, I'll get the other one on tomorrow.
Once I get the two PC-DL's up I'm gonna redo the NCCH-DL machine ( in background ).
