Raid - Bios - Nvidia- can't install XP

Hi, this is my first post here. Great forum, loads of info.

Problem: I can not install Windows XP SP2. on a raid 0 set-up
I can only get to the windows start-up page, I press F6 to load the Nvidia raid drivers(2) and then it Freezes when it gets to Setup is starting Windows ......

More info:
I can not because of some problems with the Bios.( I think )
I have flashed the new bios 3/10, enabled raid and all sata ports and so on as per Link to post at DFI-street (http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8105)
It seems the problem might be with the raid system. I hit F10 to enter the Raid setup it says ID2 ( I presume it has Id0, Id1 and Id2 in the memory ) but other times when I let the system start up, it says ID0(on screen start-up), I have tried to delete the raid setup, I go back to redo the raid setup and it sometimes says ID2 or ID1 ( this is crazy ) I have used the DataLifguard Diagnostics from the WD Raptor home page to re-write 0's to the drives. (delete everything)
BUT it seems to be a part of the Nvidia nF4 bios or driver or something.
I want to delete all raid setups and start again but dont know how.


Can someone please offer some advice ?

Is there any way to get into the Nvidia Boot Agent as this might be what I need to try and clear the unwanted Id's

Hi,

I had a similar problem and could not get to the Nvidia raid setup i.e. I did not get to the point where it said hit F10 to enter raid setup. To get there I had to load optimised defaults in the bios and then let it post and then I was able to setup Raid in the Nvidia raid setup. Then try to load windows. Hope this helps.

You'll need to go to the Genie BIOS and make sure you enable both SATA 1/2 and 3/4, then go to RAID configuration and enable both 1/2 and 3/4 again, now....I too have 2 raptors, I can get into the Nvidia raid bios to set the Raid 0 with F10, but for whatever reason the screen just hang at the verifying DMI pool setting screen with a bunch of "..........." afterward. So I can't even start the XP installation, I tried to switch from 1/2 to 3/4 ports, made no difference, it's very frustrating to get this Nvidia crap running in RAID 0, different BIOS didn't matter, leaving the FSB at 200 and everything else at default didn't matter either....I think my Ultra-D board might be defective. Though the raptors run perfectly fine when I use a Sil3114 PCI raid controller on Raid 0, which sucks because I'm stuck at 133MB/s bus!!
