Well, it's -7c outside so I thought I'd see what my Swiftech Air-TEC would do with a little idle time... ;) Took about 15 minutes of just sitting there doing nothing for the temperature to get below 0c.

And just in case you didn't notice, I'm also just a few hairs shy of 2.6GHz. Soooo close. :D

Nice:D Is that with your 2.4?

Yep, that's my XP2400 at work. I still have to do Fewture's Vcore mod. to get more than 1.95v. I'm pretty sure with 2.05v this chip will run 2600MHz and be stable enough for Prime95 and probably stable enough for Folding Gromacs. :D

Not bad at all for air cooling:)

I wonder if that unit would fit P4's using MC478's mounting brackets?? Maybe longer screws?? Are you using the recommended Meanwell PSU or a generic 12v unit, like from Radio Shack?

So.... did you actually put the computer outside? Or just open the window? Always fun to get sub-zero temps on air cooling :D. I had -20ºC case temps before .

I'm using a Radio Shack 13.8v 25A power supply that's turned down to 12.5-12.6v.

Neither, 1st... I don't have a case. ;) And 2nd, I'm using a 3" dryer duct that's taped directly around the fan. ;)

-20C??? Man that's cold!!!

I was playing a little before work this morning too. ;) It's almost stable at this temperature and this speed. I can run Prime95 for a bit, SuperPi runs fine, SETI@home seems to run ok, PiFast will crash on the last calculation though. :( I need more Vcore!!!

Well, I'm heading outside now. Its -13C according to my Ratshack digital thermometer. Lets see what I can do, eh. ;)

Air cooled, was -10C outside. Got -2C idle on CPU hit about 10C stressed. Not too shabby. Took 4th place on the ORB for Ti4600 cards.

Thanks for the idea :D

Very nice extra 200mhz dogman on air.

HMM it's 21 celsius and -5 celsius outside. I'll drag this Vapochill out on the front porch. Crank it up and fold all night.

I wonder if it will still be there in the morning when i awake?? hehe
