Can anyone tell me what kind of steppings/sspecs are coming out of Newegg/zipzoomfly/monarch/whatever these days? I'm looking for a 3.2E/3.4E and trying to decide whether to ebay it for a sure thing or chance it with an etail vendor.

Sorry, I meant to specify s478.

I know what ones have been made and all about the processor finder, I want to know what steppings one would most likely buy if purchasing from an online vendor.

In other words, if you bought a 3.2 or 3.4 prescott s478 recently, please report what you got!

Don't know if you care about this or not, but I've recently bought a 3.0E from the egg last Thursday and it came today. It was a SL7PM. Haven't tried clocking it yet since I'm busy building computers for other people right now, I'll try it out tomorrow.

hey peeps!

I have tested a few SL7PMs (E0) all of em can hit 250FSB no probs. Ive just tried one out today. I cranked it upto 3.9Ghz on 1.45V memory Geil UltraX 2.85V 1:1. My PC is Flying. I would recommend this CPU and stepping to anyone.

Also it runs a lil cooler 45C idle 55C load. Now this is not too bad considering I only have a basic Thermaltake copper cooler which is really loud.

My highest 3DMark03 score 13646
PCmark04 6076
3Dmark01 22586

If any1 wants one i have my last one brand new boxed on ebay £115 delivered still cheaper than most retailers.
