Is there any way to download a whole bunch of fresh candidates and transfer them to another computer? I would be doing this by burning them to cd (or DVD)and then uploading them on the other computer. I ask becuase my gaming rig is going to have to stay offline until saturday and i would like to see how many cands this thing can do before then and maybe work up a little buffer to dump when i come back at full strength. If there is a way please tell me how to do it (which files to copy over and such)

Thanks Guys! :banana4:

Edit - I know you're online rodzilla, (i can smell you and your abit motherboard j/k) come on pounce on this one!

just download 2000 cands...
burn whole SengentD2OL catalog on the CD...
then install D2OL on that second PC (in exactly same place as you did on that first machine)...
copy CD contents to the new machine...
run D2OL...

your new machine will run D2OL on the same node as the first did ;)

if i already have it installed on both of my rigs it would be more eficient to just transfer the cands themselves and not reburn the whole proggie.

mhm...
if you already have it installed on both, so how about downloading 2000 cands onto that second machine if it still hase Internet connection?
whole SengentD2OL folder is like 35-50MB tops...

I think that candidates are in here - "...\SengentD2OL\D2OL\res\data\taskdata\structs"

You might wanna try that if you want.. who knows... maybe it will work ;)

You have to download 2000 fresh Cands on your internet rig... copy the folder and past it in the same exact path on the offline rig.

IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can only do the work once... if you download it on the internet rig and copy it to the offline rig... and let them both crunch the same work... you won't be able to upload from the offline rig once the work is done. (As you have already turned in that work from the internet rig)

Once you copy the folder to CD you must dump all of your task data from the internet rig and download new work. (Just stop the client and delete the "tasks.dat" from the "...\D2OL\res" folder. When you restart the client it will download new work.
