I've been trying to find gskill pc4400 but the only place that had them was newegg, and they were out of stock.

today I just checked, newegg doesn't have any gskill brand listed anymore at all! What gives?

Anyone know any reputable stores to get a 1gig kit?

Since TCCD is out of production they can be hard to find yes.

I was going to say "Into gskill cookies and cream cerial!", but the above does make a lot of since. Just because there are no more TCCD chips in production doesn't necessarily mean that there is no more LA/LE RAM though, as they could have quite a bit stockpiled/left over. I would just keep looking, as they havn't said that they have stopped making it or anything.

for better timing buy OCZ VX !!

for much greater speeds but higher timing buy LE !!

jetjaguar

LF is Supposedly Rated @ PC4800 1t, so I am assuming it is better... (but alot os LE / LA can reach 300)

ZX is their value line i believe...

I won't lie - I'm a VX fan! This isn't hurting me too much ;)

G-Skill's rep said that the new 4800FF will hit the shelves after CeBIT.
Well now CeBIT is over, and no sign for that uber ram that's rated to PC4800 @ 1T @ 1GB. I would love to have some. And knowing TCCD is still in production, making me even happier! I will avoid the UTT because the results are flacky, maybe i'll try a single 256mb just for the heck.

BTW - 4800LF = 4800FF?

saaya

the results are flacky? says who?
what do you mean with it btw :D

Hombre

I mean that the results varies from set to set, not every stick will make it to 270 2-2-2, which is the minimum I require if i'm into the UTT trend. If someone will promise me 270mhz 2-2-2 Memtest86/P95Blend stable i'll hop on the UTT bandwagon. As you can see, i'm partial into low mutli CPU's, like the 3200+ Winchester (Capabillity/Price fan!).

saaya

well check out the for sale section :D

and if you really want utt that does 270 2-2-2 then there are ways to get it, buy several sticks, keep the good ones and sell the other ones for 20$ less than for you bought them for. that way it will cost you more, but you definately get 270 2-2-2 :)
