Hi,
I'm currently running a GeForce 4 Ti4200 with a thermaltake copper GF4 cooler and was wondering if this new Zalman HeatPipe cooler will allow me to get a better O/C on the core.
My current best o/c on the core is 305 stable.
The card is an XFX one.

I'm not sure it will allow a better oc as it's not made for oc'ed card but only to run the card silently

I recently purchased one for my 9700 Pro and I am able to oc my card to 378/357 with additional ramsinks. This is actually alittle better then the Koolance watercooling setup I had on it before. I have the Zalman fan bracket on the way so I am hoping by pushing some air through it, it will work a little better.

why not hook a 80/92 mm fan and have it blowing on it?
try that and i bet that you will get a few more mhz out of the core
EDIT: i just looked at the price on plycon and it is a whoppin $40 w/o shipping! for that price, why dont you get a better water block than the crappy ass koolance one?

Yeah, i do have a 120mm case fan mounted in the door of my Chieftech case which blows direct onto the graphics card so hopefully that should make the cooling equal if not better?
Also do ramsinks make a difference, i've got some tweakmonster ones and some artic alumina thermal adhesive but ain't installed them yet, is it worth it?

Cus I have a Prommie on the way and wont be using the crappy ass Koolance anymore. :) I'll be hooking up its own water cooling and pelt setup in a month or so.

I got maybe 10-20 mhz outta my tweakmonster ramsinks, can't really remember. I would hold off until you actually get the cooler before you attach the ramsinks just to make sure they all fit. As mine was a really close fit.

Saw these today, one uses the Zalman heatpipe. Anyone know if these specs are without volt mods, or stock and overclocked only? 405mhz is pretty good for rock stock with improved cooling!!!

As far as I know it uses the HP-80 and an "optimized" bios. I for one cant reach those clock speeds with my HP-80 and 9700, must be the bios...

Optimized BIOS, hmmmm..........
Wonder when that'll be out and about on the 'net??
BTW, what do you use to tweak your R9700??
