ok I am trying to get my rig stable at 4ghz (236X17) I have found it better for gaming than 275X14, so I boot up at 236fsb and everything is fine. I play a game for about an hour and it freezes, the screen doesn't go black or anything just the game stops and so does the entire computer I can't ctr+alt+del it. This has happened 3 times tonight and I don't know whats causing it. My load temps aren't high and my vcore is at 1.5volts (droops some under load). I have some bios screenshots because I am afraid I am missing a setting or two that could make me more stable. (vcore in bios is 1.5375 or whatever but it is actually 1.5 in windows) could the problem be a vdroop? should I up the voltage to 1.55? I ran memtest with my ram at 236 2-3-3-6 for abour 4 hours with no errors. Anyone know whats wrong here?
thanks

Try upping the voltage first, if you supsect it could be a voltage drop that's causing the problem. If that doesn't solve it at least you'll have ruled that out. Maybe try using a diffirent multiplier too with a slightly higher FSB. Did the 275x14 have these problems?

no but I get higher 3dmark scores with the 236 over the 275. I upped the voltage to 1.55 idle (not sure load yet) and loosend the timmings to 2.5 3 3 7

Wouldn't that give quite a performance hit though? 2.5-3-3-7 at 236x17 shouldn't perform better than your 275x14 at those timings. Maybe cooling could've been an issue when running the RAM at those speeds. Try putting a 80mm fan over the RAM and see if that improves the performance.
