i have intention to buy 2x 512 DDR2 PC2-4200EB DC Platinum Rev 2....with a abit aa8xe.....those ddr 2 are compatible with the aa8xe??

You will need v2.0 bios to make any ddr2 ram with tCL 3 programmed spd to boot up with AA8XE. It isn´t only a OCZ issue ;)

NO it does not work out of the box ! you need another memory ,
so you can update the bios ...
