View Full Version : Can't get my 2.4b over 3ghz :(
I just installed my first watercooling setup. Man was that alittle frustrating, but it's pretty sweet. Anyways, my load temps came down by about 15-20c over my volcano 7+ so i'm thinkin "hell yeah, time for some overclocking". Nope... Computer starts to lock up past 3ghz no matter what. I'm giving it all the voltage my it7 will allow. I've tried slowing the ram back to normal timings, giving it more volts, etc. nothing :(
Anyone wana trade me a c1? :p

Are you setting the PCI/AGP to 66/33 fixed??

I don't know, try and lower your voltage to default. You should hit 3g just at stock voltage or maybe 1.6, maybe your overvolting.

nope, that just made it lock up even quicker. I think I need to volt mod my cpu. With the 1.7volt option on this board it's undervolting to about 1.64-1.66 :(
Anyone got a link to that one p4 voltmod where you wrap the copper wire around the pins instead of using conductive grease? I can't seem to find it and I don't have any conductive grease.

It might be the board... I can't break 170 FSB on my IT7 Max2... yours might be stuck there too....:(
eh, my cpu pinmod failed. I think i'll just forget about it for now.
is your NB actively cooled? Try sticking a small fan on it.
