Looks a little crowded to me...

What can you live without???

I'm thinking of combining and re-posting:
D²OL Tweaking Guide & How-2
D²OL Project - START HERE!
Get Your Team Sig Here!!!!
How to set up D²OL

Maybe not the team sig one... as PS2pcGAMER needs to be able to edit it...

Give me your thoughts...

I think it's a good idea.

i think it'd be good to compile the info in all the threads into 1 how to d2ol thread

Let's get some more feedback... I'll do that this weekend if most say it's a good idea.

Any sticky that is outdated or that we just don't need?

Kazoo... How many post do we get a day on average in the D2OL section? How does it compare to the hottest section?

When I first came here I used the first post in the Start Here thread and that was it.

why not do like in the other parts of the forum and make a "Best Of" sub-forum.

Very good idea.

or name the sub-forum like "D2OL FAQ & How-to" and put all the stickies in there

It wouldn't be noticeable...

Having How To Set Up,D2OL Project Start Here & D2OL Easy Service Installer was a bit confusing. If they were under Getting Started Here it might be easier. With tweaker guide at the end. Also don't leave out a section where neebies like myself can ask questions,Hope this is the kind of feed back you wanted.

Yup merge em all into something like start here. A sub section would also work, or like what they have in the phase change section projects then links to ppls projects. Like that so D2OL start here then links to the unsticked threads. That can drift as far back as they want and still be easily excesable. :D

yeah, put them together, but let the d2ol sig thread. :)

I love the Idea of linking to threads that were usefull... but never stuck!

I say make one thread on how to set up D2OL, in that thread explain every possible thing you need to know about setup, then just leave the Team Sig thread there.

yeah, have one setup thread and keep the others or put them in a sub forum

I say just edit Jeff's "Start Here" thread with links to most of the other topics.

Unsticky my service one and create a link to it from Jeff's thread. Same for my D2OL Sig thread. Just have a link to the Setup guide and maybe my sticked thread in case people have comments/problems.

I'd also edit the "How to install D2OL thread" and add pictures just to make things even easier and keep that stickied.

The rig show off threads can also probably be unstickied and again just have links from Jeff's thread.

I think that there should be 2, maybe 3 stickies max to make it seem less overwhelming for new D2OL members because right now there are too many.

PS2pcGAMER's idea seems to be the cleanest idea so far...

The fewer the stickies the cleaner and less daunting it will be for newcomers, I was a little skeptical about the ease of using D2OL when I first got here because all the info was not easy to access. I read it all then couldn't remember where I had read something when I wanted to get back to it to re-read it.

i dont think it was the alignment that was the problem, you probably sat up all night trying to figure out how you were going to beat my motherboard. By the way, my cpu is currently at 3.4GHz fully superpi stable, i think if i want to go higher ill need more ram though since i want to run this thing at 1:1.

How's that look? I think it's a lot better this way.

And I know I'm not Rodzilla, but I think he's still having a problem with those darn planets aligning... :stick:

What, planets just have to be the right way, or else problems occure. If Mars isn't at th ecorrect angel from the Earth the mighty solar wind will come and take Rodzilla away to...

Thanks Jeff! been super busy! Just went to start working on it and I was like... Where's all the stickies?!?!?!!?

You and I can got through and see if there are any Honorable mention threads that need to be added as well...

Jeff
03-27-2005, 09:37 AM
Sure, just add them to that "START HERE" thread when you find them. You'll see that I tried to arrange all the information there in a semi-reasonable way in that first message. ;)
