Pretty nice :D 1300MHz mem = no artifacts.
Still original bios 5.40.02.25.03.. anyone know if a reference card can flash to 1.5v.

wow 1300 on the mem? Can it run that high for hours or just a quick run?
It seems that stock cooling on the memory can suck pretty bad. I know that when I have my memory clocked at 1100-1200 (a 6800GT) artifacts start to appear after an hour or two (have you seen thoose thick cuddly blankets they put in between the RAM and the heatsinks?)
Nice results! No love for 01 though? :(

I can run 1300MHz with no problems, with a little airflow.
The Heatsink on the Ultra PCX is 100% COPPER, on the ultra's AGP they are ALU.
I removed the standaard white crap underneath the cooler, replaced with AS :D
idle 51C in case. Soon I will try Zalman VF700.
3Dmark01 = 29K.
Not to impressive, soon Prometeia on my winnie :D for some real numbers.

GREAT mem clocks!!
You know, it's amazing... just about EVERYONE runs into a wall on AIR at about 450-460... not like ATI where some go 610 and some go 560... maybe a more consistent process?

DO you have another fan mounted over the card or something?
Also, the heatsink is 100% copper?!?!?! Even on the BGA GDDR's?

I think 1.30ghz on the memory without artifacts is about normal for a quality 6800U :) . Whatever can be said about comparisons to x800xts, these cards usually have great DDR3 memory :D 450 core seems a tad low to me on the other hand, is that about normal for the pcie cards?. A lot of the agp ones hit 460+ on air, mine hit 467 coolbits test accepted on the stock cooler.
Hey, you might want to try 75.90 instead of 71.84 if you're going to use a non FM driver :stick: you'll get a lot more points in both :cool: . I *highly* doubt 1.5v will help you on air cooling. These cards prefer cool temps more than voltage, just my opinion. And crank the memory up to 1.3 on the '05 run.

460/1377MHz... no 15K, need better cooling to crank up te core...
used 66.93 FM, but 71.84 WHQL is faster...
to Eva: haven't tested that, already removed that stock stuff on core and mem.

71.84 may be faster than 66.93, but it pales in comparison to 75.90. Have you tried it?

71.24 =?????
75.90 =14667

Have you noticed the same thing with high mem clocks on the 6800 series? Before I switched to Nvidia, I hadn't had a single issue with freezes on my 9800pr when overclocked (it liked to make sparkles and random polygons, sometimes it would exit the game, but I never had to reboot)

what kinda temp difference did you see form stock ultra (copper) vs VF700-CU?
I replaced the stock GT coolers on mine and gained about 8 degress C idle...

With stock cooler = 50C idle / 62C stress
VF700-CU = 52C idle / 65C stress.
The stock cooler on the ultra is better then on the GT ;)

HEH...
Out of curiosity these temps you stated... Are they at default speeds? Also, what is your ambient?
The reason I ask is that I have been trying to figure out the temp readings on my card. Dpeending on ambient temps my idle can vary from 32-38C which seems alot lower than everyoen else, but the ambient sensor says 50-55C... WTF!!! i know for a fatc it isn't 55C in my room, So I have been thinking that maybe with 66.93 drivers the temps are switched or something...

thought as much the copper 6800U heatsink really does cool better :)
reason why i sold my XFX 6800GTs for eVGA 6800Us as the price difference for waterblocks would equal or cost more than just upgrading to 6800U with copper heatsinks - just too much effort for water cooling 6800GTs especially in SLIi mode while stock 6800U would do just as well :)

Here some Zalman, stockie mix :D fits perfect.
Temps are 52C idle and better memcooling now, because there is direct airflow from GPU cooler.

6800u do artifact when the core is too high. Freezes are power/temperature problems.
Mine does 523Mhz on air with lots of artifacts.
Hey,
My ultra does 450/1300 with VF700cu and ocz cupper ramsinks, case is open. This summer i might try watercooling for the entire system because it won't go any higher.
First i'm going to try to close the case, and improve airflow (install a fan blowing air out of the case above the 6800 and below the card one sucking air into the case, that should get me some more mhz)
