(originally part of this thread (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=56093))

Can't wait to try Cinebench 2003 on my dual Xeons at home. I've wondered how they perform compaired to other setups and that article seems to list loads of platforms.

I'm also looking forward to the dual-core chips. :slobber:

[edit]Just remotely tried Cinebench 2003 on a home box and here's the result...

That's just with a 1.6GHz LV Xeon rig running HT at 200x16. Can't wait to see what my 3.55GHz rig running over 220MHz FSB does. ;)

Did you look at that article? That's about as close as you're going to get to guesstimating the speed of a dual core AMD at the moment.... there's no point in speculating what the chip might do or what we think it will do... no one has one so no one can tell you... I could tell you the thing walks my dogs and makes me coffee.

I'm not sure what you wanted out of this post, but I think Jeff was just trying to give a general comparison as to how his dual 1.6 LV's stack up against the stock 2.4 dual core A64 in that article.

yhea well I acted pre-emtivly. I don't have a problem with jeff posting his cinebenchg scores. not at all, and yes i read the article. but I just wanted to prevent that everyone with Xeons starts posting his score :)

Btw does it do poop-scoops also? :p:

Split the thread off so we can get some more Cinebench 2003 results here. Using this benchmark, it's amazing how our little $50 chips are performing. :stick: ;)

Here is a chart that was mentioned in the original article...

Ok, here's the results for the 3.55GHz(222x16@2-2-2-6) Xeons...

NO HT: (2 real Xeons)
39.3s

HT: (2 real Xeons, 2 HT)

Damn! This benchmark makes P4 HT shine :p: Not mentioning DX rigs!

I'm sooooo getting DualCore A64, though :p:

Just did a quicky run on my A64 S939 Winnie @ 2.7GHz and got 68s :(

EDIT: Jeff, that rig of yours is SMOKING !!!!!

Wow dtakias. What Xeons are those and at what speed/FSB are they running? It's amazing how certain benchmarks can make certain platforms just shine. ;)

Thanx, hope to get better numbers.

Why are these xeons even faster than the 3.6ghz 2MB xeon MPs ?!?!?!
