I got a Koolance EXOS-AL watercooling system around a month ago along with a Koolance NV2 waterblock to see how far I could take my 6800GT. Apparently I can't take this thing far at all.
My max OC is 415mhz core, unknown max memory OC but stable at 1120mhz. Loads temps are 53C.
I tried using a 6800 Ultra BIOS but I can't even reach 420mhz. After around 2 hours of 3dMark 2k3 the screen becomes garbled with a bunch of colors.
Any tips to OC this card more?

i don't think xfx oc's too well. check my sig :( (i have an xfx too)
the sad thing, i used to be able to get to just under 400mhz until i tried 1.4v, now i can't do anything over 380 without crashing eventually.

I'm going to move over to PCI Express to get a DFI Lan Party SLI seeing as I have had poor OCing results with TWO of my MSI Neo2s with G.SKill TCCD and Ballistix memory and two CPUs to play with.
I'm thinking of going with a BFG 6800GT OC. Would it be worth it to shell out more for an Ultra and OC the crap out of it? I'll be using water cooling BTW. And I will probably not get another card for the SLI mobo for a few months.

ultra bios is worse than the default GT (which is best for ocing)
also only change voltages not bios of an other manufactor

Do you have good airflow over the card and ram? Do you have ramsinks?
I couldn't run my 6800 gt (not XFX though) with water much over 400 without issues. The card and ramsinks were getting really hot (ambient temps were exceeding core temps). However, once I got good airflow over it, I could go up to 440/1200 at 1.4v. I still think I can push it a little further (450-455) as well.

i get 460/1230 with ram heatsinks +fan and fastwrites off (gives a lower score)
and with fast writes on and heatsinks+fan i get 440-450/1200-1230 (diffrent what i bench)
still got 1,4 default 2D and 1,5V 3D but only gain stability....

I use watercooling so airflow is not an issue, the Koolance NV2 also watercools the RAM and my temps are 53C load @ 1.4v.

I have watercooling as well (only for the GPU though), but airflow was still a pretty big issue as the card was getting very hot where the molex connector is. That is why I mentioned it.

I don't know if the airflow was enough, but I had 1 80mm side pannel fan on my case.
I'm moving over to a PCI express system and a BFG 6800 Ultra OC, what seems to be the average OC of those cards?

My eVGA 6800GT OC's to 447/1.15 with a NV5  Few artifacts...though.
