Do these things really work?
I get a TON of dust in my room, and i have cats, and Wood Floors. So i get Hells dust bunnys running around with my Zippy Pushing so much air.
150bucks isnt to bad, im told they are good and keep you a bit heathier (which i dont care much as im pretty heathly as is, other then i dont sleep enough) but if they can help i may try one out..
Thanks for any input..

Yes, they work. You just have to make sure you keep them clean. Go to your local Sharper Image and check this one (http://www.sharperimage.com/us/en/catalog/productview/sku=SI737SNX/catid=676889403/pcatid=22) out. I've been thinking about an air purifier myself, which is ironic considering I'm a smoker.

in the ad it says air is taken in, the bad particles are collected on the grid, then the clean air is accelerated into the room. How can acceleration of anything be accomplished without any moving parts??

thinks for the link, Sharper image totaly fell off my mind, guess i got side tracked watching basketball..
but 150 is reasonable for a unit, but 300+ is a bit to much for me..
i have alot of things on my wanted list, but the Purifier isnt one, but if they work and there Good enough ill get one.

dust is easy to clean out unless it gets stuck to tar & nicotine. if you smoke check out carbon filter they absorb nicotine and they are not that restritive. Those ion filters are ok for the area they cover if kept clean. Check into HEPA filters for whole house you can get carbon inserts for those also they have units that hook to central heat & air units as well as stand alone. Have heard better feed back on HEPA style.

Dont buy the Ionic breeze..It does nothing compared to the Neo Tec which has like 16 ionizing points versus the breezes 2

Take some open cell neoprene and put it in front of a box fan. Bam! you have a filter that works just as well for 20$, much less if you already have a fan somewhere in your house.
the ionic breezes are totally silent though.

Thats why I told you to take a box fan and some open cell foam. It will clean the air just as well as any other filtration system.
What does that have to do with a case though?
