31,4k 3D01 with 3000+ & X800 XT - Win XP

Settings:

A64 Winchester 0450 MPMW 3000+ @ 2,7 GHz, BBA X800 XT(non PE!) @ 580/580 MHz, 2x 512 MB A-DATA PC 4500 @ CL 2,5-4-4-7 1T(Trc 9, Trfc 15...), DFI nF4 Ultra, Win XP Pro SP2, Catalyst 4.12, nForce 6.39.

Is it really worth it to switch to Win 2k and DX 8.1? :confused: I already disabled the Pagefile and set the diagnostic systemstart on my XP setup, from which I gained a few hundred points. How much would I gain from Win 2k? My goal is 32k. :)

Are you running 270x10 or 300x9? Def switch to win2k and dx8.1 and get some ram that'll do 270 2-2-2-X or TCCD that can do 270 @ 2.5-3-3-7, that'll probably game you some points.

Eh nope... :D This 3D01 benchie was with my 3000+ @ 9x 300 MHz, since yesterday I got a 3200+ running @ 10x 280 MHz 24/7 stable. ;) UTT RAM with stable clockrates @ ~ 280 MHz is hard to find. :( My A-DATA runs atm @ 280 MHz CL 2,5-4-3-7 1T(Trc 7, Trfc 13...).

Edit: Made a quick AM3 benchie - this CPU really pushes my X800 XT. About 1 FPS more(10x 280 MHz vs 9x 300 MHz). :)

Thx m8. 89k+ in AM3 isn't possible without mods on the card. 600/600 MHz stable with mods would be nice, but I never modded a card before... :D 90k should be doable with 600/600 MHz. ;) I have the german Windows on my sys. You can disable the pagefile this way: "Start/Einstellungen/Systemsteuerung/System/Erweitert/Einstellungen(Systemleistung)/Erweitert/Ändern..." Get yourself a dictionary. :D

Ok, big problem here: I tried to install Win 2k 4 times without sucsess. :( Before the setup loads from the CD, I get the "IRQ less or equal" bluescreen. I tried different s-ata driver(from the floppy disk) combinations and even tried to install without s-ata drivers, but every time I get this bluescreen. Any ideas? :confused:

Yes, Win2k and DirectX 8.1 are worth it. How else would I have gotten 33k (http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=8487202) with just 12 pipes and single channel? ;)

I benched Super PI, Sandra, 3D01 and AM3 a few times.

Does anyone got an idea why I get the bluescreen in the Win 2k installation? :confused: 33k would be soo easy... :(

Kool, I guess I'll try it out when I get my stuff together. Anyone else gain points with it disabled?

As for your win2k install, does it have SP4 slipstreamed? Maybe that could help?
