Hi!

I read a lot about NF4 + VX and how imporant it is to configure timings right etc.
I was wondering how people are doing on canterwood systems and which timings seem to be the best. TheStilt mentioned in his review only what you shouldn't use but not what he did use.

I run some VX4000 and DFI 875P-T. Didn't burn them in already.
Right now they are running 250 2-2-2-8 through Memtest #5 without any errors (need 3.34V Vdimm + 1.6V Vagp) for hours.
230MHz with 3.2V gave me plenty of errors...but I don't care that much as long as 250MHz is running fine ;)
[CPU: 3.6 D0 set to 14x; GFX: 6800GT]

So far I didn't change anything like refresh etc. Everything is set on "auto".
When DFI's Homepage is back I will get the 12/30 Bios TheStilt used. Maybe this is better than the 11/30 I use.

Another thing I'm curios about is why sticks run better in Memtest than in Windows. TheStilt had 265MHz in Memtest but only 260MHz for a SuperPi 1M and I'm experiencing the same.

Is 250MHz 2-2-2-8 + 3.34V ok for BurnIn or is it really necessary to start at 200MHz?

How much does NB cooling + Vagp affect the boards ability to clock high with 2-2-2?

They are the VX PC4000 sticks. They are ment to do 250mhz 2-2-2 with 3.3v. Burn them in right there. ;)

that's what I'm doing ;)
I could reduce voltage to 3.29V and they still run fine.

875P-T is great for high Vdimm. I can't messure mV in the range above 2V so there is NO messurable fluctuation!
I set it to e.g. 3.42V and it is 3.42V all the time and nothing else

I thought overvoltage protection limited the 875P-T to 3.2Vdimm MAX ??? Even causing DDR boosters to burn out.

the booster will burn out instantly, thats correct ;)
except from that I had no problems up to 3.7V (with BH5)

Oh, so the BIOS is not limited to 3.2V? Or did you adjust your PSU?

oh...bios is limited!
-> vdimm mod
psu not required

to get access to my mp3's I decided to go on testing with prime...and that works better than memtest atm ;)
257.2MHz double prime stable (small+large) 2-2-2-8 with 3.33V.
