MY friend said I could get 1.6Vgpu thru a 6800GT BIOS so I DLed nibitor 2.0 and a gainward 6800GT BIOS. I extended VID and voltage tables and lo and behold I can select 1.6V :D I'd change vendor from Gainward to unknown and the card back to 6800 from 6800gt. Is this ok or will it not work because it has GDDR3 memory settings and different timings?
do you have a pci card handy? You could always try it and if not you'll just have to flash it back...

I think that it will not work...there are no 6800nu's that can do 1000mhz on the ram,but... if you underclock the ram of the 6800gt bios with nibitor it may work. Or you could use the asus V9999gt bios (it has the Gt core with DDR1 mem)

there would be a problem with the different memory amounts. You can change the volts in your bios, then flash it with that. Memory on mine can't get more then like 770.
Anyone know how dandgerous it is, running with more volts? I have mine water cooled.

6800nu BIOS wont edit over 1.5V. 6800GT goes to 1.6V...

Why don't you take a Asus 128 MB Geforce 6800GT bios. It have the right amount of ram, same type of ram, not 1000mhz ram as default. Think it would be better and safer. Haven't test it by myself but read of others with a LE who have succed flashing with it, so a 6800nu should be even safer.

The Asus 128MB 6800GT bios is the fastest one I've tested and works flawlessly on my Leadtek 6800LE @16/6, 1.5v, 430/946MHz, perhaps Asus made some tweaks.

tried GT bios on my LE, the asus GT 128mb, but didn't get any improvments in perfomence or overclocking. Tried 1.6v didn't get i working. Don't know what went wrong, the volt just didn't get any increase :(
Yes there a few Le/nu which do 1000mhz+, not mine but is 2.8ns so the chance isn't so big to get 1000mhz with 2.8ns.

As long as you keep core and memory speeds in the range you 6800LE/NU can cope with there is generally no problem flashing with GT or Ultra BIOSes. But other than having your card identified in the nvidia driver as a 6800GT or a 6800Ultra there is no real benefit !
