Anyone played with this yet? I'm curious to see how it performs at that great price of $400.

Why don't you go for the x800XL. It's (much) cheaper and faster

Just curiosity atm, wanted to see how this card is performing. Not much money available to get a whole new system, besides, I'm waiting for venice.

what exactly is an x850pro? 12 pipes?

yes. With clock speeds of 520mhz i think.

X850PRO is 12 pipes with the same clock as XT.
But no one tried to mod it to X850XTPE. No people talk about this card.
If it really can flash to X850XT PE with 16 pipes.
I will choose the X850PRO instead of X800XL.
atm, my choice still Powercolor X800XL. The best one that fit me well.
