Ive got a 3200 winchester cbbhd0448spaw,i think its the poorest cpu i ever had with only 2400 MHz at 1,6volts(!!!) primestable.I also got a 0450WPAW which sucks,too,with only 2,5G primestable at 1,5 Volts.So,i have now 2 cpu for ebay!

but the most 3200+ 448spaw are not so good:(
3000+ 448SPAW is the best winnie :toast:

This would be an interesting update. Few people have found a correlation between week and quality. And now steppings are not necessarily indicative of anything?
Could you post your rig in the thread? I think a lot of people will want to make sure that you've verified that it's not your computer.

Its definately not my computer cause i put out the spaw and put in my 0445VPMW and this one worked as before with 2,6G on 1,4 volts.With the vpmw,i have 2 of them making 2,85G benchstable:http://arc.aquamark3.com/arc/arc_view.php?run=957614156
On air!I dont think that stepping code says nothing.Cause i have this two vpmws making 2,85G and i had another one making 2,7G primestable on 1,4 volts but this one didnt run properly at higher voltages,maybe the controller was faulty.
What i think is that 0448spaw isnt a good stepping for the 3200!i think its not possible that cpus which are made in the exactly same way,can have such big differences in ocability.I would say its not true that 0448spaw is a good stepping,but 0445vpmw is.to me it seems that the v,s and the u,s are good.I will try another v-stepping next week.
I got a similar CPU waiting for my RMAed PowerStream520 to arrive (OCZ get some shipped to DK plz...). I'll let you know how mine turns out - hopefully within a weak or two :D

Not that I'm telling you to do this, misleading people would be bad so don't do that. But I'm sure there are a lot of people out there looking for 0448 SPAWs that won't believe that it's not an awesome CPU. So maybe you could get good money off of it. I'd make sure you let them know your results though, but tell them YMMV so maybe they're fare better. Just a thought...

I have seen more than one guy saying in this forum that 0448spaw is bad,cause they got one and it sucked.i dont want to sell this for much money cause the guy that buys it will be totally disappointed and i dont want that so i just wrote in ebay about 3200 winchester,none about the ocability.

Its a 33% increase in CPU speed, for free. Its not a terrible chip.

"Spaws" are great chips from what I've heard. I'm glad I went 754 though since my 3000+ 754 Newcastle will do 2920mhz on air, 2800mhz prime stable @ 1.65v
PSU? MOBO? Memory? Do you know what you're doing?
I've never heard of that stepping not hitting 2.5 on default vcore/

really nice, a lot of friends have got a 0448 and 2.7G ok at 1.4, the best is 2.7 at 1.33v on air and a 0450 on wc at 2.85 with 1.48v :D

:confused: 33%?How do you calculate this?Stock speed is 2000 so 400MHz is 20%,not 33%.

he was thinkin it was a 3000+, probably because it started off about 3200's and then straight away everyone started posting their 3000 results.
