I actually ordered some from lapcompute also, should be arriving in a few days.

The only reason I ordered them was from reading forums and Jeff's Guide, so I guess I could put out a few thousand candidates for you guys to show my thanks, heh.

Just need to find some heatsinks :| Hard to find decent prices that ship to Canada..

I'm pretty sure the stock intel windtunnels are good for up to 3ghz

Gotcha, thanks.

Basically, I've narrowed my choice down to two heatsinks

http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=6635&vpn=FAN-042&manufacture=SuperMicro

or

http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=11797&vpn=MCX603-V&manufacture=Swiftech

The Swiftech 603-V's are 73.38 each, very expensive.

The Supermicros are 29.81 each, any reviews or opinions on the Supermicros? I don't really want to drop 146.76 for heatsinks.

Thanks again.

Anyone think the SuperMicro heatsinks will do fine?

The guy in the review says 40c @ 3ghz. Its worth a shot, they won't get you the same oc as a nice swiffy block but for $30 i think its a alright deal. Good luck :toast:

Anyone know the model name for the Stock Xeon socket 603 heatsinks?

I was thinking about purchasing them from intel and I'm curious if this is it.

Ill try and find the model name if I can, I would rather get those than $70 x 2 603-V's

Thanks.
