Well, quite francly I'm just confused, are the powercables the same on both of the power supplys? Same amount of connectors? Exactly the same? How about EMI shilded cables, same there?
Have I gotten this right? After the release of the 600w the 520w got cables in the same amount and exactly the same as the 600w. While the EU version have always gotten the cables seen above, and active PFC; while all us versions got passive PFC due to lower main voltage?
And the only reason that 600w model is ATX12V 2.01 is because its got two 12v rails?
Also if my PSU decides to die, I will have to send it to US in order to get a new one, paying a :banana::banana::banana:load of cash when it comes to freight?

The 520W has the same kind of cables like the ones in the pic.
As for the warranty,
OCZ's support is top notch. If you ever have a problem with them, send a PM to bigtoe or AndyOCZ. They will surely help you out as soon as possible.
Does the 420 have the same cables in the pic also?
if it doesn't then could you please tell me how they differ...

All the powerstreams have the same cabling now.
Thanks
Ryder,
I'm about to buy a friend's. He bough it about 2 months ago IIRC. Would it be any different? Different enough that I should buy a brand new one?

That is going to be tough...the 520 / 600 have been the same since before that...the 420...its going to depend on where he bought it and whether they had rotated enough stock to get in the new units. Follow?
Well it's the 520 so I should be good then. Yes I follow, and thanks!

Yours was from before the switchover to the new cabling. It's still the same great PSU.

I have a brand new powerstream 520 but it only has one PCI-X power connecter, where did you get your additional PCI-X power adaptor Charlie?
and the second question is, is the 520 going to be good enough to run the system in my sig? or should i just sell this and buy something else?
Thanks,

You should be fine, many are running it. Just don't put 3 cold cathodes in your case and such.

My Powerstream 520W didn't have either these currently connectors. Mine is like this:

Although it, this PSU is solid rock.

A little bit upsetting... I'd pay for an upgrade service to proper cabling if OCZ offered it, but oh well.......
If I have to buy a new PSU, it may be the new 850W PCP&C
