Just 2 weeks ago I had two outdated systems, then I bought $3K worth of equipment but I couldn't even install Windows and yesterday, the "Master" himself came to visit me.

We work all day and night until the early hours of the morning. Oh man! it was a such a rush to see OPP in action, he's relentless.
I'm not here to brag because I don't deserve the credit but the results were an amazing #14 spot on the hall of fame.

Thanks!

oops sorry, I didn't update my sig to show the system we actually used.
Ironically, it took a cheaper CPU and my old BH5 to get us there...

awesome score! How hard is it to install SLI setup? I'm looking to get the Asus A8NSLI board. I know that i will need a 680watt PSU compatible with PCIe connectors for two Geforce 6800 ultras. what drivers are best for SLI setup?

Let him tweak the system, and I'll fix some food and beer. :toast:

I saw the 22k and for a second I thought wth???, so he's talking at #14 with only a 22k in.......................then it hits me  :slobber:

Amazing score man ;) Hats off to OPP for his part  ThoughI'd love to see the new 3.73 EEs with that SLI setup I'm sure 30k with some ln2 wouldnt be too far away considering LardArse has gotten 19k with one 6800U on the 3.73EE.

I followed Mdzcpa's advice to set the cards before installing XP, then updates, then drivers, then a message pops up to enable SLI and reboot, that's it.
The hard part was to OC the cards. We learned to OC one card with SLI disable and then the second car takes the same clocks after enabling SLI and reboot.
I'd strongly suggest you buy the cheaper DFI Ultra-D and enable SLI instead of spending extra money for the Asus. Besides, if you look around it's pretty obvious that DFI is the board to beat.
We tried the new Forceware drivers but we used 66.93 for the benchmarks.

Good luck with your setup and I hope you'd have as much fun as I'm having. :toast:

At first I was clueless so I watched him do his magic but within a few hours I understood how the process go. I must confess that coming from nF2 systems I'm not very familiar with A64 tweaks but now I think I understand enough to get the next personal record on my own.

I think I can do better once I hook up the Vapo to the CPU and water to the cards. This little 3000+ has some left on it... :D

You may be talking about the 2 drives in Raid problem.
We set up and formated the the drives in DOS with a WinMe disk and then loaded windows with no problems. I believe EQ was doing the partion and formating from windows before. The only problem now is Ghost, Ghost doesn't see the Raid setup correctly, it sees half the Raid.

The little 3000 chip is a nice one, did 2700 rock stable on air. The Vid cards on the other hand was another story. Both the cards where on stock air coolers and in SLI mode and didn't overclock well at all. We tryed all kinds of Overclocking utilitys but still the cards were a pain.
I think when EQ gets some cooling and mods on his cards and figuers a better way to overclock them he should come up with some better scores.

It was fun playing with SLI, makes me want to try some cards:D

Thanks Mike, you were big part of it too!

The error still there. Maybe is not an error after all but some sort of code, I don't know. We ended up installing XP on a FAT32 partition using the old DOS approach to format. Not what I like to have but is good enough fo now until I figure a way to change it.

I dont think ATI could withstand your highest score with SLI, OPP. They'd have to delay the R520 in favour of the R600 then :D

Great score :)

As for Ghost not seeing the array, are you using the NVIDIA RAID?
I have found Ghost 8 can work with Nvraid, but you have to change a few avanced options.

I found this in another forum , but can't remember where

Ghost Version 8.0
To set the options for Ghost Version 8.0, do the following:
1. Use the command line option to disable direct disk access and enable INT13
2. In DOS prompt, start Ghost with this command line: ghost.exe -ffx -fni
Note:
ffx - Prefers the use of Extended Interrupt 13h disk access for hard disk
operations.
fni - Disable direct IDE access support for IDE hard disk operations

It helped me back up my two Raptors in raid 0 without a hitch using those options :D

I just wish I could give credit to whoever found it out. There was a way to get Ghost 9 to work with nvraid too, but I didn't copy and paste that part :(

Cheers

What were your clocks? And you ended up using the latest RT? Coolbits??
23K should be pretty easy.... maybe 435/1140, my 24K+ was at 455/1200

Yeah, I'm using nVIDIA RAID but Ghost is not the main problem. I've been using Ghost w/RAID and nF2 for years w/o any problems but all of a sudden Ghost cannot see the array properly.
Check this thread for more details: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=54258

Thanks for the tips, I'll try it and post results on the above thread.

Cheers!

Just a little update:

I didn't volt mod the cards yet, OPP will do that for me tomorrow and I haven't flashed the bios cause I can't find a proven one with the extra voltage and clocks.

I did install the blocks from H2OGun and they seem to be working good. It's all outside the case still because the A64 head for the Vapo hasn't arrived yet.

Some rather interesting results though: I'm the #1 A64 in Aquamark3  not that it matters much but it's something... :D

Also, please do me a favor. Can you forward some details to me on volt modding the PCI-E Ultras when your done?

althes and Mike,

Thanks! but I'm afraid that AM3 score is nowhere near the top. For some unknown reason they don't include FX's when you search for A64's...

OPP and I didn't accomplished squad on Saturday. He did the volt mods on the ATI card but the scores were nothing to brag about except for some gain in 3D01. Then we moved to SLI but that didn't go any better.

Sorry Mike but we didn't do the volt mods on the nVidia cards so I can give you any details.

It wasn't until today (all by myself btw :D) that I managed to OC the nVidia cards higher. I was about to be thrown out of the front page so I squeezed a few extra points, just enough to stay there for a little longer in both 3D03 and 3D05
