I just updated the light sheilding in my room, I can now open the bottom half of the window and lock/unlock it. The top board has a hinge area (Made out of duct tape) that tilts up when I want to lock/unlock/open/close the window. When that flap is lifted up it lets a little bit of sunlight into the room, but because of the way is reflects off of the cardboard the light takes on a very dark red, even "hellish" quality. My whole room looks like that, but the camera doesn't pick it up too well. (Yes, I did disable the flash)

It's because my project shelf is right in front of the window, I just throw stuff there and only clean it off once a month or so. Any time I am bored I can just get to work on something because it is right out there.

All you can really see are some speaker cables from the new sound system I am building, the fan for exhausting the room, a mystery foam block, and a PC that is waiting on the shipping insurance claim to get processed. (It was dropped hard enough to unhinge the HS and rip the CPU out of the socket, the HS then bounced around in there causing obscene amounts of damage) There are actually many more things on there that the camera didn't pick up and other things that are out of the shot.

I also have an odd orginizational system with things apparantly stacked haphazardly, but they are actually carefully inventoried, but that isn't even close to being in the shot, but some people might have noticed it from some of the pervious pics I have uploaded.

I have my friends camera right now, does anyone remember anything they wanted me to take a photo of? There was something someone requested a picture of, but I forgot what it was.

Why would I need a light when I have natural sunlight right outside of that window? Besides, I don't keep fish or plants.

I use a red curtan (blanket) in front of my blinds to help cut down on the light getting it. At night from the window all people see is a glowing red room.

Why do you hate light so much? :)

It reflects off of my monitors, making it very difficult to see anything on the screen. I can acctually see a reflection from the light on every single monitor in the room because they are in posisions that happen to line up just perfectly to bouce the light exactly where I don't want it. I don't understand how light works, so I figure I'll just remove it rather than control it.

I have seen anti reflectivity filters at a photography company though, but I have no idea how much they would cost or how effectivly they work, nor where to get them.

i find it strange that someone would remove all the light in their room to stop monitor glare - just move your monitor so light isnt behind it...
