Just got a new Mach II and put it together with my mobile XP2500+ and AN7 board.
How is this score for the now long in the tooth AMD XP CPU? :)
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=8463070
If I used W2K and DX8 with APIC on, how much more would I get?
My X800 is modded to XT PE speeds and running "stock" in the above test. The AN7 is at 238x13 with 3x256MB BH-5.
No voltage mods to anything either :) The CPU has about 2.1v going through it.
Cheers
looks good, cant u raise the fsb some more?

OK. I went 250x12 and updated my drivers to the latest 5.2 cats and got this: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=8463705
It's quite a bit lower. I think it may be driver related maybe. I put my card to 530/575 too.
Weird

I am not sure, but is this result I posted earlier the highest placed AXP?

If it is, I never even realised :)
Can anyone confirm that?
Cheers

Great 3.1GHz on that chip, Mickey
I know that SAE got his AXP to 3.26GHz (http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=8098253)... Not sure if anyone else had in higher in 3DM01, though...

Thanks bachus_anonym :)
I am tempted to install Win2K and run the test with DX8 and APIC on with a bit of an OC on my vid card, but to be honest I don't think I can be bothered
I think at most doing that would get maybe 500 or so points.

LOL much more than 500, hopefully more than 1000 too. Wow I never realized how far ahead the a64 pulled over the barton till I saw x800 benchies. There seems to be an easy 800MHz lead the a64 has over bartons

Well if you think I could push over 27000 points it might be worth the effort :)
I have been looking over here at the Auto update listings http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=36140
It seems you are right about the 800mhz headroom, more or less. 27000 would put me about 50th in the list with a few A64's nearby :D
I only wish my X800 could clock more, but it is giving everything just to run 520/560. If I Vmod it I still only get to 550/570, so it's not worth it I feel.
Cheers
it will push over 27k with w2k and dx 8 ;)

yea 27k is not bad for a non a64, bartons are a massive cpu bottleneck, especially with x800s

With that massive 3 Ghz on a chip you should be higher.
As soon as possible try win 2000, multiprocessor tweak, ...
Look what I got with 2.5Ghz mobile
ORB (http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=8254731 )
All aircooled, no vmods.
Otherwise, nice chip at 3Ghz. :toast:

Thanks guys :toast:
OK I am going to try and get a copy of Win2K.
So SP2 is best with DX8 and APIC on, but what is reported as the best driver?
Also what is the multiprocessor tweak?
OK I just found the "3dmark tweaking guide" I will have a read ;)

Just a guy spoiled by how fast a64s are and how they can break 27k at only 2.2GHz :slobber:
