Hello all, I have recieved all my stuff and am in the proccess of assembling it (leaking testing it right now). And i wish to do the u wire socket mod for 1.6v's but the pic in jeffs thread is gone :confused: Anyways does anyone have that pic saved.

i don't have jeff's pic.. but you need to put a wire between B2 - B3, C2 - C3 and D2 - D3.. which would look like this...

Oh also does anyone have a link to the +10% vcore mod I rember someone talking about that and I would like to do that as well.

I got the u-wire part done, and for now 1.6v is enough. I hope to have the entire thing up and running sometime tommorow hoping for 6.6ghz of xeon goodies :slobber:

Just don't get too out of hand with the Vcore mod, especially with air cooling. 1.65-1.7v is about the max for Northwoods/Prestonias under even the best of conditions. Much higher and you are seriously reducing the life of the CPUs. At 1.6v+ cooling the power regulation circuitry is also a big priority. Replace the heatsink over the MOSFETs to the right of the CPU sockets with Arctic Silver Cerqmique and place a fan to blow air over them.

Yes frost all good points. But I am not on air cooling 1.7 with good water should be fine :D All ready done the rest of what u said. DE4 TY that was exactly what i was looking for now wheres my solderin iron :banana:
