ok well i installed it and all that but when i run it i just have this screen. its been up for about 30 minutes so i thinks thats more then several which it sayys at the bottom.
Is there anything i have to do or is it broken? :confused:

Big Panda, it should be like that. It depends on how fast your PC is to initialize and start it I believe. Other than that, it appears to have been installed correctly.

I dunno.. if that is on your P4 2.8ghz and it has really been sitting there for 30 mins something seems wrong...

still shoudn't take 30 minutes to initialize... i couldn't tell ya what the problem is though.

hmm i installed it on my 2.8ghz and it only took a sec...anyway ill troubleshoot tomorrow gtg to bed

I honestly, believe that it's because of the CPU speed. Other than that, nothing seems to be wrong.

yea especially the first time the prog opens up it seems to take a little longer to intialiase

In the future, for anyone having this problem.
Right click on the D2OL icon in the task bar and hit status. Check out the handshake progress... If you see a broken red circle that means communications have failed. Your node can't initialize if it doesnât have any work to do.
Sometimes you can't handshake because the servers are down, your connection is down, or you have a software firewall that is blocking access. On my slow PIII Laptop it will initialize in about 10 seconds... so I don't think CPU speeds makes much of a diff on initialization speed.
You were most likely having this problem because of a hiccup in the D2OL servers. (I had noticed some intermittent connection issues)
