Hi I'm in the process of getting weaponized and I know he doesn't have any more san ace fans and panaflo's are a bit pricey for my budget what do you guys think of these fans? They're Delta 120x38mm afb1212vhe and specs are
Voltage range - 4V to 13.2V
Rated Current - .60A
Rated Input Power - 7.20 W
Speed - 3200 RPM
Max Airflow (free air) - 129.96cfm
Max Air Pressure (0 air flow)- 0.420in H2O
Noise - 48dBA
They seem to operate at 4v... so i'm assuming undervolting won't be an issue. However noise will be a bit loud but it's okay if I can run the fans at 1/2 speed and get somewhere around 1800-2000rpm, 28-32dba and flow which is about 65-70CFM.

loud....most probably even at 7v....
i have some san ace fans and i didnt like them to loud, even at 7v.....and i dont have the most sensitive ears....
i personally prefer the panaflos, but i am interested in hearing other peoples comments and experiences....
my 2 cents

the problem is that I can pickup 4 of those for about 20 bucks :) or 2 panaflo 120x38mm over here http://www.svc.com/panaflo120x38.html locally. Anyone else can comment on these?

deltas are also good fans too. i'd say they are very loud but powerful too
They're near silent at 7v, only a slight buzzing that is only audible when my ear is within a foot of the fan. 12v is pretty noisey, but the amount of air it moves is good compensation.

that's good to hear.. I don't suppose they come in a 3pin do they or do they just ran on the standard molex connector?
I have the two pin version, I run them of off a fan controller.

These guys are excellent to deal with.
I didn't buy the case package, just 2 singles. I have also bought components from them Very happy.

Woah, thats cheap. I'm not too keene on actual decibels, is 48 loud? I'm not too anal about noise, but I dont want too much noise, it will get annoying.
I think I may buy a case of those, not sure. Fan question, will it do any bewtter If I stack two fans on top of each other both blowing in the same direction?

and i thought my 45.5 db panaflo u1a was loud
had to get a M1A instead. i like that one becuase i can run it at higher volts on my fan controller (i.e. its actually bearable) and it moves more air becuase i can run it faster than i could run my U1A at
Well, apparently 48 is loud. I'm not buying no god damn fan controllers, they are a rip off. I can just go to Rat Shack and buy a few rheostats for a couple of bucks and mount them somewhere, and get some guitar knowbs and put them on it. That would be kinda cool actually... Hmm.....

God, you are local to SVC? most excellent. I hate ordering from there as their shipping time frame and correct shipping (usually gives me one wrong thing, etc) despite their price...
Wanna try this?

Very interesting fan with great specs over all...
http://www.svc.com/fba12g12m1a.html as you mentioned is great fan but @ 12v, it still is too loud. Also for rheobus you must make sure you are not using those PWM ones for panaflos... they don't work too nice and tend to increase some wierd noise for panaflos...
Oh SanAce is great but @7v their mechanical noise pattern do bother me.
