Is tygon really that good, like everyone says?
I dont see whats the difference between tygon, clearfex and primoflex.
I have primoflex and some tygon tubes.
ONly difference i see is that the primoflex tubes can easily bend, which tygon tubes are stiff as a rock.

not that great for its price :) I only pay .49cent/ feet for tubing at my generic hardware store. Tygon is bank just for tubing!

I think bcause they're thick yet flexible and the tubing doesn't stain... so I read somewhere.

Tubing bend better than typical hardware store one. Now if you put coolsleeve on it, it won't matter though :P

you can actually just soak the ones from the hardware store in hot water and then install it :) it'll revert back to it's original hard form.

I always go with clearflex60. It bends almost if not the same as Tygon, grips just as well and cost half the price.

Clearflex is not the same as Tygon as far as bend radius goes, Primoflex might be tho. Just making the bend is only part of it the other is how much side pressure you put on your blocks which can make a good mount very difficult to do.
I would say if you dont have any tight bends Clearflex will probably be fine, but with tight bends without a lot of side pressure on your blocks I would suggest spending the money on Tygon or it seems Primoflex would be as good or better also.
Here is a shot of about as tight of bend I can get out of my Tygon without kinking.

As ancient pointed out the side pressure is a big issue. more so with AXP than a64 and intel, but still its an issue. the pressure from the tubes can leave you with a poorly seated block. Whenever I tube my setup i try to make it so that the bends have the least effect on the blocks mounting.

I always liked the clearflex, and found it kinked less than tygon, but the thick sidewalls does put side pressure on the blocks. I went back to tygon with my last buildup, and have been happy so far.

i know clearflex kinks a lot, but primoflex might as well. not sure about tygons. lets face it, all tubes will kink sooner or later.

i thought tygon was used not only becuase of its tight turn capability but for the fact that it wont dteriorate over time. Most tubing based on vinyl (generic hardware store tubing) will deteriorate over time.
