Would this actually work? I'm going for a lightning strike look via the sound controller. I also saw a Cold Cathode vercion of this, so would that one work if this one wouldn't?

i dont see why not as long as the connecters are the same, it does the same thing no matter what you put on it, it sends the elec in pulses according to the sound
