I am a proud owner of A64 3000+ @ 2810Mhz 1,58V
9x312 with mem div 183 -> 281 2,5-3-3-7-1T

bios 1,36b

16M stable
Cooling : zalman 7000Cu with winter cooling ;)

The problem is , I can't hit any single Mhz more than 2810 :mad:
when I set 2820 super Pi 16M shows "not exact in round" or "not convergent sqr" even with 1,76V

Strange thing , when I change cooling ( also winter cooling) to Xp-90 with sunon 120x120 or even simple WC i couldnt run even 16M 2979mhz :mad: WTF :confused:

Why only zalman let me run 2810Mhz ??

Maybe there is something I forgot :confused:

1st theory , maybe Zalman is better cause it cools also mobo ??
2nd maybe there are some mosfets or something else on back side of mobo which is less cooled

Or maybe this mobo is limiting Me :mad:

What do you thing about these mosfets on the back side of mobo ???

Are you sure you have the clocks for the XP90/WC right because that doesnt make sense.

I have not tried cooling the mosfets of my Neo2 but its worth a try. Some CPUs just hit a wall and cannot get past it no matter the voltage. I would be happy with 2.8 personally :cool: Very nice overclock.

I know that doesnt make sense but thats how it is. Amount of Mhz is the same

Sounds to me limit of CPU unless much better coolign (phasechange cooling) is involved.

But how will You explain the difference between zalman (2810Mhz) and wc(2797Mhz) or Xp ( 2797Mhz) ??
