I have been looking EVERYWHERE trying to find these fans (120mmx38mm) and have not found them. It seems everyone recommends them, but where can you get them?

The only places they were available were Ebay, here (http://www.goldmine-elec-products.com/prodinfo.asp?number=G14010&variation=&aitem=2&mitem=8), and some individuals like Weapon.
However they seem to be out of stock everywhere. :(

It figures that something good has to dissappear! Any other suggestions?
I've got several Delta VHEs they're pretty good for the noise:CFM

Panaflo fans were proboly the best CFM vs. dB fans you could buy until the Sanyo's got discoverd. It couldn't hurt to check them out.

Check with me. I should move onto 4 pull pull panaflo by end of date to reduce noise level instead of 2 sanyo denki. For lower noise and RPM, I should have enough pull with panaflo stacked (bit big but oh well). Just waiting for UPS or fedex... (have 4 packages coming in today and some mix so I am not sure which is which :P)

Stacked fans do make a fair anount more noise than a single. I would suggest atleast spacing them apart a ways (maybe a hollowed out han) if you cant go push pull.

Didin't think too much about that... Even for same amount of airflow through heatercore? I would assume much lower RPM being needed. I guess I will find out soon enough :)

I have stacked fans before to get nore flow and main thing was extra noise I got. But the main ones I remember were the old 38cfm 60mm deltas which were far from quiet to start with and got considerably noiser when stacked. I never tried with relativly quiet fans (I have tried some moderate noise 80mm fans tho and same result) so the panaflos may be ok but I would guess you will get more increase in noise than you will flow.
I really hope it works but since I havnt really tried it with a big restriction like a rad has against the flow my experience might be faulty.
This post was more of a caution than saying it wont work and that a spacer between them may help your results.

I am very thankful for the warning actually :)
Spacer.... I guess Might start pulling out that holesaw and 1/4" thick flexi glass that has been dusting somewhere if the noise isn't helped much for flow. Push comes to shove, I might just use two of 120mm Panaflo... Got M version which should be sufficient in most cases :) :)
