Hi everyone!

I have become increasingly more interested in water cooling, mostly because of the significantly lower noise levels. Currently, I do not have the money to buy a WC setup, but as the summer draws near, I might find some money.

I'd like to ask you about your opinions on the following setup:

CPU block: http://www.vodnechladenie.sk/index.php?page=pag8
GPU block: http://www.vodnechladenie.sk/index.php?page=pag4
Radiator: http://www.vodnechladenie.sk/index.php?page=pag6 (the one at the very bottom)
Pump: http://www.jsc-computers.cz/product_info.php?cPath=25_54_271&products_id=1727

And of course all the other stuff like tubing, a reservoir and others.

Well, I must say that this cooling is aimed more at silence than at performance - of course, I want it to be better than aircooling, but at the same time more quiet. I am on quite a budget, too - I want to spend about 200 USD maximum.

Also, I plan to use some of the non conductive Danger den fluid.

Thanks for your help.

EDIT:

I will be running
1x 3500+ and 2 GeForce 6800 Ultras.

Alphacool, stick with them if you're in europe. But really, if it's possible, you'd be much better off going with a Swiftech kit or DDen kit. The parts you've picked up look very restrictive, all flow killers and none of them I've even seen before (which is bad). So, I'd said think again.

Well, you see, the situation in Czech rep. with watercooling isn't too good. The parts I chose were from some Slovak people, so they would be easy for me to get. I think I'll stick with the rad though, as it's the cheapest and will probably do as good as one from a chevy. Could you show me something that's not so "flow killing"?

I can get parts from these other guys locally:

(click nasledujici kapitola at the bottom of each page).

I was thinking of the Cascade block, but I'd have to ask Radek B. (the guy who makes it) if he could make it fit on a A64.

I agree with enjoy on this one. the swifty kit would be the better choice. or just using swifty parts. you could do it in 3/8 with a mcw6000, a DDC, and maze4gpu (as swifty doesnt have all copper or non aluminum mixed gpu blocks)

since your not after perofrmance you could use a T line instead of a reservoir.

and also since your not after performance, rad choice isnt that big of a deal.

the DDC is kind of expensive (80 dollars) so if you wanted to go with something cheaper the eheim 1048 would be good.. this pump provides very very little flow, but with the components i showed you, it wont mater too much. just dont expect cooling wonders. this pump is in the 40 dollar range so that would give you aobut 80 dollar to spend on the rad.. or less if you want to. oh btw, this pump is pretty much the quietest pump on the market. apparently its quieter than the DDC which is near silent i n its own right.

As per the rad, if you want silence i would sugget a dual 120mm heatercore or purpose built rad. if you go with the purpose built be prepared to pay up the nose. but either way since your not after high perofrmance you can use some papst fans that are 25mm thick and you will get adequate coling that will be near dead silent.

And your opinions on the Cascade block? http://www.pctuning.cz/titulnistrana/hardware/ostatnihw/Default.aspx?CatID=213&LayId=2&ArtId=19865&ChapID=5805 , second one down.

Um...can you say Cathar's been ripped off? Talk about a cheap, ugly immitation of Cathar's awesome block.

I know you can probably get Swiftech parts over there, seriously have you even checked that out or are you just interested in getting crappy czech blocks? :P

ive seen some blatent rip offs in my dad but that one takes the cake.. Im gonna send that to cathar... That is just f'ed up beyond reproach. whoever did that should be shot in the face.

dos, go with the swfity gear, and the DD gpu blocks. you really cant have a high restriction system with the way you want to set it up.. you need to get some flow through that rad, and a mix of hte Swifty cpu block and the two DD gpu blocks will allow you to have lots of flow.. Ancient suggested the BIP2. its a good rad with low restriction (to air) and will cool very well.

Alright, how about this:

Danger Den CPU block: http://www.dangerdenstore.com/product.php?productid=17&cat=58&page=1

Danger Den GPU: http://www.dangerdenstore.com/product.php?productid=150&cat=48&page=1

Eheim pump: http://www.dangerdenstore.com/product.php?productid=37&cat=26&page=1

and the radiator I mentioned above, T-line. Well, your opinions?

If you use the TDX you really should get a stronger pump than the 1048. The TDX being a moderate restriction block really needs over 1gpm and will get a fair amount of improvement up to 1.5~1.75gpm (after that the pump needed to get more pretty much adds enough heat to counter the added performance of the higher flow) and the 1048 wont do that.

So what pump do you suggest? As I said, my main aim is to keep it cool and quiet, compared to aircooling.

For the pump, grab the 50z at Cooltechnica. Those blocks look fine. :)

Blocks look great, but as enjoy said get the 50z... the 1048 is entirely underpowered.

what in the world.. what kinda blocks are those?
they look so simple

Danger den blocks.

I'll go for the 50Z pump then.
