I need advice from you.
I would like to achieve 350 stable HTT with (LDT 2.5x). Now I am at 335 HTT (LDT 3x) stable with stock cooler. Would it be possible to get 350 with only a better cooler?
I need 350 HTT because of my ram. I would like to run my pair of BH-5 sticks at 233 Mhz 24/7 with my winnie 3000+ @ 2800Mhz.
Is there bios for Neo2 with 150 mem divider?
Tnx in advance

Try lowering the multi so 350 htt would put you under your max speed. If you cant hit 350 there, you wont hit 350 with better cooling.

Now I tried with 6 x 350, LDT 2.5x and it wasn't stable.
I looked at Kyosen's mod for high HTT. Would this mod help me or is it only for higher "final" HTT (1100 Mhz, ....)?

I haven't done any mod and this is my max HTT stable with MSI Neo 2 with sock cooler:

I've reach 421Mhz (http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=4128) but inestable.
PD: LDT 2'5X bios 1.51X Beta.

Hehe, BH - 5 fellas are hungry.
Could they run at higher frequency if I take their heatspreaders off? I think that they are "holding" the heat.

:D Never tried with a multi lower than 10 - multi 5 or 6 with a horrible high HTT is only good for childrens party, no real effect at all.
So take a look at my PIC in SIG, that's the highest HTT I reached with multi 10 done on single phase......... :toast:

Wow, nice HTT and with a 10 multi :slobber:
I am on aircooling, and with 3000+ winchester, so no 10x multi for me.

If you borrow me a phase change i will do it too :D Stuck with air cooling..
PD: I'm not running on low multi as you can see on my signature ;)

Today I tried with 1.51 bios. Nothing improved.

Today I slapped a bigger heatsink on a bridge. Now I am memtest stable @ 355 Mhz.
Tommorow will try for more.

So how much did a beefier sink on the NB help you?

Around 30 Mhz stable HTT.
Stock heatsink was also making very bad contact with chip, so a few Mhz was 100% there.

ROFLMAO few days ago (not sure when) my nb heatsink (it's a big passive Zalman) on the Neo2 fell off on one side and was just left dangling. Guess what? The comp didn't crash.. 302 HTT

Wow, thats pretty scary Ivan. I'm going to have to keep an eye out for that. Moonman, good results on stock cooling. I cant beleive that just added a different northbridge heatsink made 30 more mhz stable.

I don't think it's scary.. I think that sort of shows that cooling the NB can be overrated sometimes :)
