I'm in a dilemma. Good news, i've finally worked out why my CD's keep failing when burning most of the time and why sound from CD's is dodgy... It appears my IDE port 2 is faulty. I've two choices I can either RMA and hope it goes smoothly and live without computer for a few weeks..which i can't really bear...or get a SATA hard drive so i can put my CD'roms on IDE port 1 and hard drive on Sata. But does running a SATA hard drive ALWAYS cause overclocking problems?

As long as you plug the SATA devices into the locked ports, you shouldn't encounter any problems.

Yeah, If ports are locked then no problem. I tried it myself :D

thanks for the replies..looks like everything has worked out my sound has fixed itself WOOO...only problem? IDE cable isn't long enough to reach the CD rom slave. reaches master..but from IDE to slave..it isn't long enough..getting a 90 cm braided one ;) should sort it out properly :P
