View Full Version : New LianLi PC-7 Scandinavian Model :)
Always wanted the minimalistic yet stylish look of the PC-6X?
Always been a little down that you couldnt get the really quiet power of 120mm fans?
Now your wishes can become true... LianLi has introduced the LianLi PC-7 120mm Scandinavian Edition:
Built over the classic PC-7 but featuring two 120mm (16db) fans and one 80mm from Adda. It costs around 2/3 of the PC-6X which is probably due to the lack of a slidable motherboard tray :(
Im gonna do some serious thinking about that lacking mobo tray, but maybe Im able to live with that considering the quite cheap price...
Doesnt it just look neat? :D

The 2 120mm fans are very nice. I wonder why they aren't making the motherboard tray removable?
Anyways, I would definately buy this case if it was sold in the states. Looks even more stylish than the PC-65B.
Son of a .. just got a pc61... want 120 mm fans =\

how is it different from the PC-7 and PC-7Plus sold here in the states?
Its different given that it has 2x120mm + 1x80mm fans instead of 1x120mm + 2x80mm...
Other than that its not different... :)

www.performance-pcs.com sell them They are called "PC7 Plus" and they are hot. I want one. I just got a PCV1000w, which I think looks better, but I am dead sure the PC-7 Plus has better airflow. WAY better airflow...
By the way, if those fans are the same as the ones in the new V1000s, they are not that quiet at all. Get some Nexus or Coolermaster fans (Coolermaster makes a great 120mm LED fan that uses sleeve bearings and (to my ears) puts out way less than half the noise and vibration of the ADDA fans that came with my case. They supposedly push 44CFM at full speed. They are damn near inaudible at (im guessing) 2/3 the normal RPMs (fan controller) and at this very low speed create pretty much no vibration.
The Nexus "Real silent" or whatever 120mm fans are supposed for be really quiet as well.
I received mine. Havent got it installed yet, but checked the fans for noise: they seem pretty silent to me. Rated 16db which seems fair compaired to my CNPS7000 that is rated somewhere around 21db at 1800rpm...
If they turn out to be too noise or vibrating I'll go for some 120mm low noise Papst. They never let one down.

Erm, papsts have quite big motor noise, ADDA and Panaflo, for example, provide less motor noise when using low dBa:s.

Actually, the Zalman 7000 series HSFs are not that quiet when in "normal" mode. You could replace the fan with a Panaflow or Nexus fan and make that cooler much quieter (or so they say at silent pc review)

Which do you have. I think im getting one of the 40$ ones on Newegg, they look sweet.
I like it a lot. Saves me the work of having to mod for 120mm fans. Looks really clean inside too.

The PC-65 and PC-75 looks so much better than this case, the front side at least. I just wish they would make a case with the very same design as the 65/75, just with 3x120mm fans. But I think that 7x80mm fans will be better than 2/3 120mm fans, performance wise, as with the PC75 (it supports up to 7-80mm fans).
BTW, I really don't see point of you calling the case "Scandinavian Edition".
Its called "Scandinavian Edition"...
Sorry.
What makes this case Scandinavian?

Yeah that looks smooth :) love the look of it, but its lacking the 5 HDD Holder at the bottom, looks like it only holds 3 now ?? :( i think this is more of a budget version of the pc6X.

You guys are getting pc-60 and pc-7 mixed up, the pc-7 has always been the 'cheaper' model but now has equally good looks, the change is in that HD area.

Do you think I can fit a Black Ice Xtreme or a Swiftech MCR120 on the back 120mm exhaust without any conflict with my Swiftech MCW6000 water block?

Wow, I can see that... Extremeley well built case. The looks & building quality of the LL + 4x120MM fans are a divine combination... Shell out a full tower version w/ slideable mobo tray and i'm sold... BTX support would be nice too.
hmmm this one got the look of the older ones which i like most.
really nice.
i'm currently thinkin about buying a second lianli for my server - but a pc50 will do it for this small machine i guess...my first one - a pc71 is huge enough, just have 30m² ;)

bleh no US version =(
Its got really nice airflow. Those Adda fans arent putting much out, but the flow is significantly better than in my former Antec Sonata...
Miss the removable mobo-tray though :(
