Better build your own like I'm doing, I used an old cpu heat sink cut up, sanded down, lapped bottoms and a small enough Aluminum tube to clear.
Good luck

There is one...but it's not very useful because you can only cool one side of your RAM. Best is to build your own.
Follow this link (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=38945), one of our own, froudeg made a great thread on the RAM watercoolers he built.

they arnt very useful though... this has been gone over many times.
and DO NOT, I REPEAT do not use aluminum if you plan to make your own. copper and brass are teh only things you should be using. stay away fro macrylic if you can too. it has a nasty tendency to crack over time.

The rads we use are copper/brass, so if you include ANY aluminum in the loop it leads to galvanic corrosion, or some call it the battery effect. What happens is that a very low level electric currant exists in a loop. This is harmless so long as all the metal of the system is copper/brass or all aluminum. But if you combine the two in one loop, the aluminum becomces pitted pretty fast, and the aluminum is deposited elsewhere in the rig, like your rad, water blocks ect. that are copper. This can in bad cases lead to a failure of the loop at some point and minor to severe leaks, when a spot is eaten all the way through in the aluminum. And if this aluminum is on your MB's RAM.........
That's what Maxxx was warning you of, he just forgot to include a few details as to the "why" behind his post.
But he is quite correct.
BTW, if all aluminum is used, keep in mind that aluminum is far less effective at quickly removeing the heat from the CPU, GPU.

I should put that info in my sig craig... lol... a general rule so that no ones needs to ask anymore.

The use of the spiraled wire turbulator in that shows someone gave a bit of thought to what they were doing. To bad they didn't think one step further and use copper.
I don't doubt they'd do some good & increase clocks slightly, but no way even close to being worth the cost. And would have to be in a separate loop.
Perhaps a secondary loop with a small Black Ice Pro + 50Z (MCP350 even better for this) + NB block + HDD block & RAM block(s). For those who just
have to be able to say they water cool it all, or who can't tolerate noise at all, in which case they'd need to include the PSU as well.
From a noise aspect water cooling of the PSU makes by far the most sense following CPU & GPU. Would really do more to cut noise than the GPU in most rigs.

very true craig.. only probl is that WCing the psu is a pain in the arse... alot of the heatsinks in PSU's have live current in them.. lol...

this thread sounds like a great candidate for the forum search utility but some winks and a fan is good enough, water is not going to be much better than that

The current comes from the different metals. All metals have a natural potential - when different metals are mixed with an electrolyte between them (water+additives is ideal) this can induce a current which causes the metal with higher potential to corrode. Generally keeping the potential difference below 0.25V is a good idea unless you want severe corrosion. Al is in the 0.9V-0.95V range (depends on alloy), Cu is 0.35V, brass is 0.4V. So Al mixed with copper or brass will corrode severely (0.55V-0.6V diff), while you can mix brass and copper with no real effects (0.05V diff).

Hey axl-
I found some water blocks for RAM!!!!!!!!
I will still build my own but,
"Angel eye" has some for retail sales.
Do a search for it.

Also 4 u "Don't" crowd-------------
Can you say "Anode"?
And have you really seen a failure?
I've been boating since b4 my "c64", and have never even changed one or seen one changed in the 4 years @ dealership.
btw I'll be using "copper", but liked the idea of Aluminum at first for the ease of attaching to the heat sinks I made for each chip on my RAM. I'll just use the silver glue.
But Thanks for looking out for us newbys anyway

Dont forget to add, electrolysis to the list as well. I just threw out a billet alumn res/pump combo my buddy made for me back in 99. Although everything in my system was alumn, within 3 months, the billet began to get eaten away because of the power cord. Easy to identify because where the power cord was lying at the bottom of the res, you can see the metal eaten away there.

If you have only one loop in your sys and you put some WC ramsink it'll restrict the flow dramatically and you'll see an overall rise in temp, so it's not only useless it's also bad for your system!
Now if you do a special loop for the ramsink it's another story but it's still expensive compared to a 80mm blowing on the ram

I finally found a WC thread where i could add something :)
I'm in the midst of moving back in my old room (yep school is over for me, still an internship to do and i get my engineer degree) but once i'm done with cleaning up (in a year or two :D) i'll read your guide

:slap: :ROTF: i'm pretty good at doing all kind of pointless stuff like checking my mail every minutes or two but once it comes to cleaning my room or tidy things i'm the worst, i usualy have a drawer where i put all kind of misc stuff so i don't have to worry about cleaning but now that drawer is gone :(

Hey Max
Yep the old c64, man we where sure glad when the tape drive came out. lol
Allmost hurt my RAM thinking about this.
One VERY funny thing about my c64 is the monitor, I still use it daily, YEP they will never build them like that EVER again, it's outlived 5 or 6 vcr's, (that I use to send a signal to it for a TV), and now it's on it's first DVD player, I'm sure it will outlive a couple of them also. lol

"pathetic"?
That i've kept a monitor for a while?
That I and it do'nt live @ mom's?
That it has what it takes to live "out in the shop"
with all the sawdust, metal shavings, smoke and a few even more "scary" than that?
I and my model 1702 have outlasted two wifes, put two, (working on the other two), kids thru school, watched every K-1 and UFC and you think thats " pathetic"?
When you move out life will change young grasshopper

I kinda miss it now, i've come back to live with my parents a few days ago. I liked it when i was alone but mostly since i was on the campus i ahd all my friends like really close to me, we could plan parties and stuff in the hour. Now we'll have to plan a week in advance :(
Anyways saving money will be nice too, as i don't pay rent or food nor gas  and i'm paid for the internship :toast:
ps : are you in UCLA?

no im at a CC. too poor and too lazy to go to a UC straight from highschool. ill transfer to ucla in 1.5-2 years, depending on when i get my classes finished up.
